Just got back from picking it up, and it turned out beautiful Unfortunately, I haven't gotten to drive it yet, as my wife is driving it home and I had to come back to work...but tomorrow it's my turn
She has the camera with all the pix, so those will have to come later...

Pics to come later this morning (swamped at work)...
Quick question for y'all, especially those of you who travelled to pick up your Mini...how much did you vary the speeds during the break in period? I ask because we got our car on Monday, and my wife drive it 60 miles home on the highway, and then all over town. I put 70 highway miles on it yesterday and about 30 surface miles (ranged from 35-70mph). She's got it today to putter around town, and tomorrow we are headed out on a 400 mile trip to visit some family. I'd like to make sure that I'm taking proper care of the engine, so any suggestions y'all might have would be greatly appreciated...
BTW, my MA told me that we only need to worry about the first 250 miles, and 89 octane gas is fine (that's what they use at the dealership). I'd rather go with what the manual says for the break in, and I may try 89 and 91 octanes to see what differences might exist as far as mpg.

So I finally got home from vacation today expecting to have a message on the machine from my MA telling me to come pick it up. When I got home, no message, so I called.
Turns out the illuminated doorsills were on back order until yesterday. The car will be ready Monday.
