R56 Introducing Minnie the Mini Cooper S
Introducing Minnie the Mini Cooper S
Since tomorrow is Minnie's one month birthday, I thought it only appropriate that I FINALLY and formally introduce all of you to her. I know, I know. I took my sweet time
The last month has been the greatest of my life. There is no possible way I could love her more. Even though I had to deal with her unbearable six-month arrival, she is worth every second I waited
By the way, I know I owe everyone a picture of the interior, which is the primary reason why I have taken so long to post her introduction. When I drove her out onto the grass field for her formal "photo shoot," is was so dusty that I didn't want to drag dirt into my ten-day-old car. I think you can all understand that
Until I get around to taking the picture, visualize carbon black lounge leather, piano black interior with rooster red color line and the ever-so-wonderful navigation system

You drove it into a field
Real nice, in your third picture I see the Lounge Leather, that looks sharp with the red and white.
How many miles have you motored in this month? I have to ask, was your car in the order cycle for 6 months, explanation please?
I like the fact you were brave enough and confident enough to drive out into a dusty field, but I have 3 Jeeps for that.
Very sweet MINI, thanks for the pictures. More interior please!!

I ordered my MCSa back in early November, but just missed the 2006 cut-off. After choosing new options for the 2007, I soon found out that I had to wait until March for the navigation system to be available. My car went into production right at the beginning of April and it arrived on the 17th of May. It's amazing how all of the frustration of waiting instantly disappeared when I set eyes on my car
As the MA sat in the passenger seat explaining the ins and outs of the nav, I just sat there, laughed, and kept telling her, "I can't believe this is my car." I've got a smile on my face from ear to ear right now just thinking about it
The dusty field is right outside our family home in Sonoma County, so she really didn't travel all that far off the beaten path. To be quite honest, it was already dusty from driving to the house anyway. To set the record straight, she was cleaned the second I got home

Happy motoring, Don!!!

Lovely! That second shot is really neat!

Hah, I figured as much, just washed..
I have a little over 900 miles on my car. When I got her, she had 3. How miles fly, right?

Enjoy and keep smiling. My experience with my MA was a smile ear to ear, too.
Thanks for the comments over on my intro. thread.
