Nightfire Red on MCS Theory

As I was washing my MCS the other day, I took time to study the red S badge that appears 3 times on the exterior.

As someone who would have order NFR if it were available on the MCS, I started thinking that the red of the S probably would not look good with Nightfire Red - a good reason to make NFR only available for the Cooper.
Does anyone know if other darker red colors like Velvet Red and Solar Red have also been exclusive to the Cooper? The only velvet red I've seen was a Cooper.

Love my DS/B, but still kind of wishing for NFR on the MCS...

That's a good a theory as any other! Yes, all of the non-CR reds have been MC only.

Maybe they make red MCs to make them faster

Velvet red was also Cooper only. Although some cross-breeds have been put together...

No shots of the "S" on the Velvet Red, though. Perhaps I have a shot of that angle at home?

Nevermind, the velvet red "S" didn't have MCS side emblems (it's in the background of this photo:

Those cross breeds are fascinating. VR is a great color. What about Solar Red? I remember playing with it on the configurator a year or two ago and being disappointed when it wasn't there any more. This was before I knew I could get answers to all my questions on NAM.

Right, Solar Red too.

But that would have matched OK with the S methinks.

That's a great looking SR, but you wouldn't be NFR #1 if you'd gone that route. Love the silver roof.

IMO, the red on the S would make little or no difference. All the colors would look fab on an MCS.
