Just to be a pain (and to hold me over until I order) I wanted to put together a thread of what changes might be in store for 2008. While I understand that the changes will be minor being that 2007 was a complete redesign here is what I am hoping for:

Nightfire Red for the MCS (well I can dream can't I?)

maybe some other new color for the MCS?

IPOD adapter from the factory at a reasonable price

Anyone else have any ideas/thoughts/opinions?

 

Do a search here, or better yest read minis web site. Not many roumors, more like facts about the new model.

I've been told by an MA you can order an '08 in October for a December delivery....I believe him....it sounds logical.

 

If this happens, I am gonna pissed to no end. Since i want this color, but want the MCS more. But I contacted Mini over and over again and they did not give me an answer. If it happens I am gonna drive my mini to the dealership and sit there untill they take my car back and get me the right color.

 

Somebody just posted about HD radio in the HIFI upgrade like starting now.

I must not read very well. I looked at Motoring File because I heard it is a good source to check for rumors & facts, but I saw nothing about 2008. Saw lots of 2007 info, however.

daveag98 - I feel the same way!!! My wife and I were dead set on the MC in NFR until we drove the S. We were in complete agony for nearly 2 weeks trying to decide what to do. We decided to go MCS and CR. I called everyone at 3 dealerships, MINI USA, etc trying to find this out but no luck. I just couldnt wait any longer so we ordered the CR MCS.

If NFR comes out in the MCS then I'll camp out with you on the lot. We'll have a cookout and pitch a tent until they take 'em back. We could, of course, take a couple $1000 bath and just buy a new NFR.

Oh yeah!! I expect something like the MC40...or at least a special edition like the Sidewalk, Park Lane, or Checkmate!! The next MINI United will be in 2009 and (rumored) in the UK. That should be some serious fun!!!
