Finally

Finally got my permit so now its going to the MINI dealer time!

I am going for a classy look, so I am thinking of black body, white rood and bonnet stripes. With redwood lounge interior and piano black. Also getting the navi, sports package, and whatever else.

But stupid NJ requires 6 hours of behind the wheel driving. Which I guess is good so you learn more, but thank god its over with.

Welcome to the wonderful world of driving. I am sure that slogan "You are now free to move around the country" has a whole new meaning. Enjoy!
I am currently teaching my daughter how to drive. She has the basic shine of it, we are just working on polish now. Teaching her brought to my attention that there are so many tiny details to safe driving we do without thinking about it.
In all seriousness, there are laws on how to drive and there are rules of the road. They taught you the laws, now you have to learn the rules.
Nice picks on the MINI, outa be a shiner!
Congrats on the paper in your pocket, now fetch that horizon!

Well on your way from the DMV to the Mini dealer take a moment to get down on your hands and knees to thank your maker for how lucky you are.

When I was your age I got handed the keys to my dad's 1973 AMC Hornet wagon. Dorksville.

Congrats! Just shop around and know your insurance rates before you get that MINI.

My father bought my first car because I was going off to college. He picked out a $xxx brown Ford something from a used car dealer. When he went to pick it up, the battery was dead. That killed the deal for him (you'd have to meet him to understand this), so he bought a dark green Mustang instead. Six cylinder and 3 speed, but at least it wasn't a $xxx brown Ford something. I married into my second car--a Porsche 356SC, which, BTW, we still own 40 years later.

My first car, when I was in college, was a '71 Datsun 510. Like this one except mine was red. It cost $750. With independent rear suspension it performed respectably.

After college I sold it and bought a '65 Porsche 356C which sadly I don't have any longer.

omg..no one with a learner's permit or even just getting the license should have a mini..should be a 5 years min. driving something else before one could even look a mini...........

like rookie pilots can just jump in an f-15. no way..

learn in a corolla or something. no kids allowed...punks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

minis are not for mini people, but for adults who know how to drive and pay for things on their own.
