Compulsive speeding. Headin' for a ticket.
I've always minded my speed while driving. My last two cars were both "rollover risk" vehicles with high centers of gravity, so you learn to take corners and maneuvers real carefully.
However, since I got my Mini, I can't stay under the speed limit. It rides so smooth at higher speeds that I often don't realize how fast I'm going. And even though I have the digital speedometer readout posted in front of me, I never look at that big dinner plate in the center.
So anyone know a good traffic court lawyer?

S-l-o-w-d-o-w-n!!! I understand the temptation but you 1) could hurt your MINI or 2) hurt someone else or 3) just cheese off a bunch of folks who will come to hate MINIs. Besides.....money wasted on tickets = money that could go into mods.
I can relate. Im used to junky cars that made a ton of road and/or engine noise at higher speeds. The MINI is quiet, no road or engine noise to signal you that your speeds are getting up there. And the speed jumps up there so quick too! Im having to train myself to pay a lot more attention to my speed. I pay enough in property taxes, I dont feel like adding to their bottom line with speeding fines!

My previous car was lower to the ground, didn't handle as well, and the engine was louder. So, my sense of speed is all off. Too often I look down and find myself going 10 mph faster than I think I'm going. It will take some adjusting.

As do most cars, so everything is relative. However, my MCS seems to only be about 4 mph off at 60 (reads 64), so I'm still about 6 mph over where I should be.

I can't wait until I can go from just touching the gas (trying to conserve fuel in the Chev 1500) to how far can I push this little peddle down.
Don't get me wrond, I love the truck, goes like stink when it has too; however, it costs $5.00 in gas to pass someone!
