I know we're not quite as OCDed as some production weeks, but has anyone's car changed to 'at the VDC'? The Maersk Wind left yest for her next port, so we should be seeing cars this week if we're lucky. At least you SoCal guys.

I'm still listed as in transit which isn't surprising considering how slow the lounge and ask MINI are.

Anyone waiting for their car up in Seattle? I'm wondering how much time they'll keep it in the VDC. Come on Mini!

jorgll, I'm with you, but mine is coming into Rasmussen. 3-7 days @VDC, depending if you have installs needed. My MA said 10-14 days from unload to delivery. Le's hope for a short VDC stay.

Yep, Im picking my baby up at 10:15 am this Friday!! I'm going to surprise my boyfriend by showing up at his place after work with my MINI since he thinks its not going to be here till next week. He is as excited as I am about my MINI and he is now thinking about getting one instead of a Nissan Frontier. Good luck to everyone else!

Oh yeah, my mini pin gets to ride in the MINI!! I bought him a seat to ride in so he can see out the window and because he tries to ride in my lap and his 18 pounds is too much to deal with while driving.

Congrats on being able to pick up your Minis soon! I'm jealous. <stalks off to wait another 5-6 weeks> Mgibrace, I'm curious, do you know how long it took to transport your MCS from Port Hueneme to Rasmussen Mini? I'm trying to figure out how long I'll have to wait after my MCSa makes it out of the VDC.

I think I unloaded on the 24th and at the dealer 6/29 or 30. Quicker than I expected.

Sweet! It was only 5 or 6 days from unloading, going through the VDC and reaching your dealer? Is your dealer Rasmussen or Mini NW (I think thats the name of the Seattle dealership)? I can only hope mine makes it to Rasmussen as quick.

EDIT: I went up in the thread a little bit. You ordered it at Rasmussen. Thanks for the update on the travel time!

I was originally told 10-14 days by my MA, but that was a quick run from unload to dealer imho. The sales manager and I had a chat and he said the deliveries up the coast are limited as the truckers are paid per trip. Easier to make a lot of trips in LA than one up to the NW.

I was told about the same thing from my MA (10-14 days). However, the trip itself should only take 2-3 depending on how long the truck drivers are allowed to drive these days, well ok, maybe 3-4 days as the truck probably wouldn't be moving as fast as I was . I've driven from Southern California to up here at least a dozen times.

Seal6 was kind enough to agree to let me know how long it takes for his Mini to take the trip once it makes it out of the VDC (it is a recent arrival at the VDC).

I think the MAs automatically pad the trip time just in case something should happen, I don't blame them. I'd much rather find out that my Mini has arrived early than late!

Thanks for the info.
