NFR Envy

On the way home from work I stopped off at Mini of Sterling to check out a Laser Blue MCS that recently arrived there. I too ordered a laser blue (which, sadly, won't arrive until late June/early July) and just wanted to make sure I made the right choice. I absolutely did. I really really like that color alot. For me it was the best of the S colors. HOWEVER, nearby was a Nightfire Red Cooper. OMFG!! I am in deep passionate love with that color! I think it may be the hottest/coolest whatever term you wish to use, car color I've ever seen. While I'm still glad I ordered an S, I am so envious of those who have the option of going for the NFR.

I haven't seen one in person, but from the photos, I've been quite jealous of that color. If I ever need to get my car repainted: Nightfire Red with a Pure Silver roof...

Ah, there goes my fantasy of being 100% unique, I had the only North American NFR in existence for about 5 minutes there!

Muse-can't wait til you get it and can't stop talking about how much you love the color. I promise, it's going to be fabulous and sassy in the Miami sun, and then dark and sexy for your top down nights.

Just posted on the Mia thread about this...I've seen now how different monitors can make the pics totally different. There really isn't any blatant orange. It's just something that gives it warmth in the light.

Muse-no talk in the cabrio specific forums about NFR?

Indeed you are. Our little NFR clique is going to be quite the talk of the town.

As it should be.

Rooandren, it is up to you to start the official NFR club thread. We can babble about the name of it in the support group thread.

People do have a tendency to point and laugh at me a lot. I like to pretend they are laughing with me.

Oh no. I had no illusions about being informative. Too much responsibility. Besides, it would severely cut into my ME time on the board. And we cannot have that.

I feel your (labor) pains too MUSE....I'll be the first in Canada to purchase one. There were only 7 delivered out of the first NFR production run to come to Canada...and mine is one of them....

I had a million doubts until I saw the pics with the black roof in the full sun....

As far as I know, I haven't seen or heard of any NFR cabrio's.....extra unique.

I like the idea of having a NFR group. We sound like we're a little extra unique (wierd?) and we had a to wait quite a while just to see this color...I've still got 2 weeks to go. Once the ship gets to Halifax port, it still has to board a train and travel the Canadian Shield to get to me. And to top it all off...the railroad workers just ended a strike..they are now 2 weeks backlogged!

AAAAAAaaaahhhh...maybe I could just cut and paste my picture and put it into rooandren's car?

I had worked as a medic for 25 years, and I've never seen Nightfire Red blood before...it almost makes me want to cut myself to see if we truly bleed Nightfire Red?

Well, maybe with a little luck I'll cut myself shaving...I'll keep you posted!

So, it's possible that my car is already on Canadian soil? (tears running down his cheeks in anticipation)....[breaking out in our national anthem!]...which means that probably our cars might have even come across the briny lattitudes together?

Skuzzy, Muse...what do you think of that? Put that in your pipes and smoke them....

I'd have to feel for the guys on the boat if all of Mini's were on the same one. Imagine the crowd control problems?

That many Nightfire Red cars in one place is probably forbidden.

I think they're like raptors. They keep hoods over their eyes to keep them docile and prevent attacks on VW Rabbits.
