Lovely interior. Red Lounge Leather is not a harsh red but more red/rust/brown. Very easy on the eyes and soft. I hope it's durable.

The Lounge leather is really good quality, it's impressed me and everybody that has touched it. I also hope that it is durable, for the $1900CAN it costs me, I would expect it is.
It's so great to finally have a MINI after waiting for soooo many years. fun fun fun fun fun!

Congratulations to a fellow week 12'er, now that CN Rail has finally delivered your MINI. I'm curious--is "Sterling Silver" the same as "Sparkling Silver" in the U.S.? From your pictures, it looks like it could be, though these metallic paints are sometimes hard to pin down. If so, why would MINI feel it necessary to give the same color different names in Canada versus the U.S.? (The ways of marketing are mysterious.)

SS = Sparkling Silver? The photo looks like Pure Silver to me.
Dorkboy, what really is the color of your car? Do they really call it "Sterling" in Canada?

Hey, my mistake. It IS sparkling silver metallic. I think my MA "might" have mentioned it was sterling? I was pretty much confused from the start, because there is NOT one bit of "silver" in it at all. Oh well.
Either way, I just broke 1000kms tonight, not bad for 4 days of driving (and I DONT commute!! damn company vehicle!! haha)
I think I will head down to Montana this weekend because there is some GREAT driving in Glacier National park and just south of it.
Cheers!

) What I've noticed is Sparkling Silver has a real color-changing quality about it depending on the light (and the camera/lighting/photographer).I agree 100%, the photo in Dorkboy's first post looks like pure silver. But his gallery photos show Sparkling Silver. Anyways, I've seen the Sparkling Silver have it's normal yellow-ish Champagne color, but also have a grey-ish tint and a more silver look... I've even seen it look a little green-ish on a grey overcast day.
Anyways, I like it so much, I ordered one too!
