It looks like a mobile ICU with all that (gross) alpine-ish white...

I am afraid some of you are totally and completely missing the point about this car. Some of you get so worked up over a *CONCEPT* vehicle whose good, bad and controversial features may not make it all the way to production. BMW is using this car as a test bed to see what people like/hate about it, nothing more, nothing less.

I love the MINI community, but some of you are borderline silly I have seen the same whining and crying when the Cabrio was in development and when there were talks back and forth about adding an automatic slushbox to the MCS.

Face the fact that some in the MINI community excercise fierce resistant to change until they have to give up. Witness the success of the Cabrio and MCSa, 2 cars that were labeled many names, etc, etc.

Reserve judgement until MINI releases the final product, which I gladly will sign up in 24 months time, if not sooner. Love the traveller!

(this should probably be moved to the 2007 Mini thread)

Granted this is a concept car, but I like the way the front of the door hinges from where the hood wraps down the side of the car instead of having that extra little panel between them like the current cars.

You mean the New Range Rover Sport. We can't keep the things on the ground more then a couple of days before they are sold it is crazy.

Face it folks we now own "Classic's" .

If fuel prices continue to rise this may be a cool 2nd car instead of the SUV.

Gotta love this shot.
I had the opportunity to be around Art Center students throughout the summer and I was quite impressed with the process that goes on for the design and production of our beloved machines.

Just pickup this image from Motoring File

Have you seen the MINI wagon yet???

I saw this today, I don't know much more than what's in the article but thought the group might be interested.

Concept Mini

Audi World had the Frankfort show coverage and had some pics of the Mini Concept wagon. Pretty handsome, I think. Since the wagons are comming back in vouge, it should fit a niche.

I don't like it because it elongates the MINI apparently WITHOUT giving it the one thing it could really use:

MORE REAR PASSENGER LEGROOM

Looks like all they did was give it more space behind the rear seats. I don't use the space I have now, I don't need more of it.

It would be interesting to see two models: one where the back seats are nearly flush with the back of the car and more legroom and one as-shown, and see which sells more. I bet my concept would sell better than theirs.

I like it too. I would hope they could add a couple inches of leg room in the back. That my be my next MINI.

That's what I'm talkin' about! Replace the wife's Suburban with this and she will have enough room for kids, errands, etc. And if she loves driving it, I will get MY mini back full time. Sweeeeeeeeet.
