Back in the mini game

Well guys IM BAAAAAAACK..
Went from numerous r53s , r58 and now I am an owner of a 2013 countryman AUTO.
I actually really like the auto believe it or not..
I really really want a countryman jcw and been considering selling my built , FULLY BUILT suzuki and and buy one.but we will see..
Anyway, here's my ALL stock r55.
it needs some suspension work as it's harsh n loud going over bumps and cruising at higher speeds
so coilovers , bushings , rear adjustable control arms, tires , ball joints, and hubs should fix it. I only plan on a few mods and a tuner because the car will be my daughters 1st car in 6months..
it ALSO has a bad trans temp sensor. Does the valve body need to come down to replace that ????
it's the only cel the car has so I'd like to fix it asap so im not chasing down any other issues in the future.

BTW, hers why I was out the mini game for abit , I'm been building my Suzuki cappuccino, hoping to be about 150whp cone spring..

if you were closer I'd really consider it. Though this car really doesn't need much...
willing to sell the barn doors if they're black or the dark Grey color. Lol I'd probably take any color honestly.

Weirdest looking Countryman I've ever seen
Love the color, and while I don't mind the auto in my R57, I'd prefer a manual

Got some replacement rims with new tires because the price I couldn't pass up.
they look abit small though , I didn't think 16s would but I didn't factor in the car is that much bigger than a r56 or r53. So 16s don't look good on it imo.
I do have a set of coilovers ordered and my buddy gave me some hotchkins rear control arms and I also ordered new balljoints and adjustable endlinks so maybe the adjustable suspension will get it sitting and looking better. Just the new tires alone made it drive so much nicer but the blown rear struts and bad front and rear endlinks definitely aren't making the ride pleasurable.
I seen a few nm modules pop up on heres id love to buy for this car but money has been stupid tight with the holidays so im hooooooping soon as I have a few extra $$ one of the modules is still for sale..
After i do all maintenance and have the car safe then I only wanna do a power module, intercooler and piping with deletes , bov and intake like I made on my r58.
I don't want my daughter having too fast of a car but she alot like me and appreciates the extra power and it being abot different from every other clubman. If she decides she doesn't want it because a better opportunity comes up , I will then put as much power in the engine as the transmission will hold. I will even throw on a billet turbo , 3in downpipe ect. So I guess we will see where this car goes..

I did a partial transmission fluid change and a barb fitting screwed rite in the trans pan and I was able to fill through that..
I used a full synthetic trans fluid ,i think it was valvoline ??? It was an equivalent to the toyota/mini fluid. I also put in a bottle of the 2x part Risoline transmission conditioner.
I drained out exactly 3qt so I put back 3.25qt juuuuuust encase it leaked some out or something.
daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn ! The car shifts sooooooooo smooth now. And when it downshifts in sport mode in no longer bobs around as it down shifts from 2md to 1st.
I've done quite abit of driving and it's been a pleasure to drive , i actually very very very much like these auto minis. There not any slower either , so long as it's in sport mode ,it's just as quick. And off the line ,if I need it to be , again , I feel it's just as quick as the 6spd. Sure , I gotta brake boost it for a few seconds if I want it to launch hard but it'd nice to know if I need it to , it can.
so onto the next fix for this sucka..
I also got limp mode coming home and found the oem intake hose complete broke by the clamp. So I expoxied back together and put gorilla tape around it while it was curring to try and make it as solid as possible. So far so good but I did order an aftermarket silicone intake to replace it with..
I also put on a new tire since one had some sidewall damage and I didn't wanna risk it. I also out in the hub centric rings too so it easier getting the rims on.
The coilovers and adjustable endlinks and balljoints are out for delivery today and I will probably start putting it all in tomorrow. I'm sore today from working on a buddies r53 yesterday. Lol I got a fuelpump replacemed in his car , in a cold , dark parkinglot in under 20min. We had to leave the seat and tank cover off because we had to leave before the business closed but still , I changed that **** fast as heck..
I'm also probably gonna go pick up a JB+ for this car too.
so I will update again soon as I start the suspension overhaul.

I would get a new inlet boot, those things with time are know to age and break apart and burn up the turbo. I dont want you to have a boot go into the turbo. Good move on aftermarket one.

yes , silicone one enroute..
I only taking the car outcaf I absolutely absolutely have to because i too fear it ingesting the intake. i fear it getting in the engine. Though I was careful when I reclamped it on as not to tighten it too much and just recrack it but it's me and we all know how my luck is so I'm doing all I can to not drive it in the meantime. Unfortunately no yards around had an n18 intake tube to quickly grab either but I'd rather have a silicone one anyway.. I just have to tap in that odd sensor on the right side of the oem intake tube. Maybe iat ?? I believe the pcv heater is the bigger one on the left side and the mass is upfront but idk what the little one is and no intake I could get had the provision, atleast none that'd be delivered anytime soon.

Coilovers came today and ugh , I was sent 2x front lefts so now I gotta straiten that out. Lol that's what I get for going cheap. But only reason I got these cheapos is they actually rode nice on my buddies r56. Not amazing but definitely better than oem and gives me Adjustability to better fit the rim n tires.

"FR" = Front Right, no?

If you ordered the M7 N18 intake tube, it has everything you need to make it plug-n-play. That's the one I used on my Clubman when the OEM pipe broke.

Yeah sadly I can't change mine because it isn't CARB approved. I guess I should have one of you order it and mail it to me I can't see why the silcone elbow would have any impact whatsoever but that's how it goes.

Got the coilovers on and everything adjusted correctly. For 220$ coilovers lolol they ride pretty nice.. imo , better than stock ALL around. They also have a 1yr unlimited mile warranty too so if they fail , atleast I know the seller I got them from has good product support.
I still have to do the lower out balljoints because I do see a little play on the passengers side.
I also polished off a big scuff on the roof..
aaaaaaaand do you know if a cobb tuner would be compatible with this r55 ? I got an unlocked cobb with my impreza I just got ( it's dyno tuned) and i was hoping to put it to use...
Here's the simsaru , I already found and ordered the best style topmount ic amd some under hood heat shielding. It only has intake, exhaust, dyno tune and jdm 2.0 with arp headstuds and MLS. Clutch fork and something else was upgraded too. Newer stage 2x clutch also. Bc coilovers and adjustable endlinks and I believe the rims are enkie. Interior is stock except for afr gauge , boost gauge and I will put in a temp gauge.
Lol it made 210hp/248tq to the wheels on an awd dyno.

final before I sold traded it fir a focus st that i did full bolt on big turbo and then traded that for my r58 i now own with this clubman.

One when did you get the subie? 2 as for the Cobb turner, I’m pretty sure those tunes are car specific, and if you can find one they did it for the n14 engine, which you already know Adrian can tune. You’ll need to contact Lou @ https://prototype-r.com/tuning for your n18 needs 😁

What Jason said... The Accessport only worked with the N14 engine, and is long been abandoned by tuners. For the N18, the only "Good" plug in is the JB+, but if you buy one second hand, make sure its authentic. There are a lot of fakes on Ebay that don't work and can ruin your engine.

I took the old boost gauge that was left from when I had my subi and I installed it into the clubman and lol and fits perfectly.
I also found out the clubman has front and rear jcw swaybars and idk why I never realized it has a jcw front bumper too..

Nothing special about the front bumper. It was used on all LCI S and JCW models. The Aero kit was the special bumper.

+1 ^^ their was a Sport Aero and then a JCW Aero kit option. The factory JCWs for i think 2011-2012 MINI flipped back and made them stock without an aero kit, then they made then later with an JCW aero kit on the LCI later.

Werid period of body kits and options for sure.

yea idk how I didn't notice but its the same bumper as my r58 jcw has. it's definitely not common though , i will have to disagree on that because EVERY clubman ive found in the junkyard or for sale locally, NONE have had the bumpers mine does unless its a JCW and even then there's only few of them I've seen.
And isn't the difference between aero kit and jcw kit only being one was installed and ordered as a factory option and the "aero kit" was when the dealers installed jcw visuals ???

Ran power to the gauge now.. I HATE how the fusepanel is in the passenger footwell because then I gotta run the wires all the way there for a power source. I don't like tapping into stock wire harness EVER. I try my damndest to leave the factory wire harness alone no matter where it is on the car.. just better safe than sorry.
I need to replace the flex pipe underneath as it's broken and I got it jerryrigged for now to leak less atleast. But wtf ecs ???? That flexpipe was 95$ 6x months ago when i bought it and now its 300$ ???? Cmon !! Ebay followed suit too but i did find some random parts company that still had the flexpipe for under 100$ WHICH IT SHOULDN'T BE OVER 75$ , ITS A FRICKEN FLEXPIPE with NO special or hard turns where it requires special manufacturing or something..
just jacking up prices on much needed parts, I hate that sht.
Always sticking it to us little dudes. So I gotta order that flexpipe and splice it in..
sorry , don't mind the nastiness, I hadn't cleaned the car in like a week and there's salt all over..

I can’t comment on what you’re seeing at the junkyard… I do believe there were more pre-LCI Clubman’s sold compared to LCI Clubman’s. I also know that not all JCW packages came with the aero kit. The aero kit was always an option, but Mini included it on later LCI JCWs as a pre-configured option. An LCI JCW Clubman with aero kit is about as rare as you can get. Add the Recaro seats and now you have a unicorn. I’ve only see maybe 3, and never in person, only pictures.

Replaced rear hub and I rebandaided the flexpipe and i installed the jcw sidemarkers and emblems from my r58 , I will install the jcw steering wheel trim too because I just remembered I had that.. I figured Noone was buying the stuff so why not use it my self , I mean , it doooooooes have a jcw bumper so lol it's not completely faking it..
I yea , the tpms are wirking now too. I had to replace the tpms module, idk how on both ky minis they went bad at the same time. But o well .
I also think the cel for the low reading transmission temperature sensor is being caused by a stuck open thermostat, i noticed my cooling fans didnt shut off one day so i knew immediately why. But i grabbed my scanner anyway and checked and the temperature only got upto 160'F letting it idle for 10min so it definitely needs a new thermostat housing but i wooooooooonder if that being stuck open amd not letting **** ever get to propper temp ,i wonder if thats why that trans temp error is there. So until i replace the Tstat housing im gonna keep the scanner in the car because if it detects the issue again i dont want it running the fans until it kills the battery, it has to be reset to stop them from doing that.. but theyve only done that 2x but better safe than sorry..
