2009 JCW Roof Rack

Howdy all!

First off, I swear I trudged through quite a few pages of search results before posting this question. I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but I could not find the information I need on this.

What are the roof rack options for an R55 Clubman? I don't know minis well enough (yet) to know the various roof options (or if all R55s were the same) but I have the "double" sun roofs which seem to limit the options somewhat. I checked out Yakima's site (as I have a Yakima rack and accessories on my VW Bus) but the option they showed didn't seem to match the way my roof is set up. Ditto from Thule.

While I have a truck for most of my toy time, I'd love to be able to get a bike on my car for lunch rides at work and even potentially my surfboards (a small car is great for limited beach parking.)

Any help is much appreciated!

I'm assuming you don't have roof rails (I don't think they were offered on the Clubman until 2011, but I could be wrong).

Have you looked at the OEM option? https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...s/82712149225/

2009 had the rails (length wise) available as an option. You can order both types of roof rails from mini still.

the R55 if you have the factory long rail bumps already you just add this, in that booklet you can see the rails in our pics.

Sorry, yes you're correct. I do not have the factory rails.

I hadn't come across those! The only ones I'd previously seen were dependent on the rails (which I'd prefer not to install). So those mount into the drip rail and will clear the sun roof and "ridges?" Looks like that's the ticket! Any common issues with them?

No issues, thats the ones you want if you have no factory small rails. They clear the sunroof and such. that other link https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...roof-rack.html

You can see all add ons you can get.
