My son thought he'd impress me by changing his own oil on his R55, but he did the complete opposite. He stripped and broke the socket head on the top of the filter housing. What are my options for removing the cap now and are there better than OEM replacements? I'm so glad my R53 is aluminum.

 

He can take the housing off with a strap style oil filter wrench and get a new plastic housing. Just don't screw it on so tight next time.
