Windshield cowl molding 2014 Clubman

Having a bit of trouble with the seal (51312756196) after replacing the cowl covers. Covers are not laying flat against the windshield. Thanks in advance...

welcome aboard...

I assume you did it while the wipers are removed. did you make sure pushed it against the windshield and put some silicon to hold it?

Thanks, I had everything removed (cowls, wiper-arms) when I put the seal in and with a little finessing I got everything back together.
Seems the cowls were not snapped down all the way. All good now!!!

The difficult part for me has been the rubber seal at the bottom of the windshield glass....the cowl has to fit into that in order to fit flush against the windshield.....

I've tried installing the rubber seal on the cowl first, but that didn't work....installing it on the windshield first and then pushing the cowl so it fits into the rubber seal worked and was easy.

More info here: But like bugeye said, push the seal up on that bottom window. If the glass has been replaced by a windshield glass company make sure they did not put on too much betalink (aka windshield sealant) otherwise it will not slide all the way up and hold on.
