Intercooler Resonator vs Noise Maker
Are these two seperate things? Maybe a simple minded question, but I don't know.

Yes they are. The intercooler resonator is connected to the tube that goes from the turbo to the intercooler. While the noise maker is connected to the tube from the intercooler to the throttlebody. This tube is long and in 3 or 4 parts. The noise maker portion is behind the engine right next to the firewall.
