So far I've only done little cosmetic stuff: Craven dipstick, red paint pen on the fluid cap labels, a red NM strut brace (WMW), and blackjack+'S' caps for the strut tower holes (ebay hole plugs plus wheel center cap decals I had lying around).

The best thing you can do is keep it really clean! Remove unsightly, peeling stickers too.

If you are asking about detailing, go to detailing 101 and sit at the knee of octaneguy. If you're talking bling, you are on your own as that falls under 'youification' and that is all up to you.
For an introduction to octaneguy's results on engine bay detailing, check out the current thread titled 'OctaneGuy details a MINI WC 50'. If you can't keep your engine bay looking like that, no amount of bling can make it better.

Thanks. That is how my father trained me.

Here are a few pics of my '93 Accord I had for 13 years. It was clean inside, outside, and underneath. The pics are not the greatest quality, but you will get the idea.

Brilliant. If our OP is not paying attention to your offerings, well...
