I somehow managed to break the gas assist strut on my left rear door on my 2009 Clubman and I can't seem to find a replacement online anywhere. It's a really pain with it broken because the door won't stay open without it.

Anyone know a place where I could get a left rear door gas strut without having to go to the dealer and paying dealer prices?

That is a very specific item and as such probably not available anywhere other than the dealer.

There used to be two different part numbers but from what I see they have both been replaced with the same number 51247167442.

Penske Parts lists them at $43.85

Not sure what my dealer charges but if it's $50 or less it seems like it might just be better to get one from the dealer.
