Hate to say it but I'm contemplating a change. I know a number of you either picked up your car recently or contemplated the same thing at some point. I wanted to get feedback on what the market is like.

I'm thinking about selling my 07 hardtop for a Clubbie S or JCW. I find that I need a bit more room in the backseat for the kids these days.

PM me some details about yours.

I just picked up a 2010 clubbie S for the wife from a non-MINI dealer. They were asking $26K , I got it out the door for $21.5K - according to them it had been on the lot for 3 to 4 weeks.

Short list of specs: 2010 clubbie s
8900 miles, automatic trans, leather int., sport suspension, aero kit, heated seats, power fold mirrors, fog lights, acc driving lights, stripes.

NO sunroof, NO nav

Clean carfax, with factory warranty left and all service records in the car.

Hope this helps

I bought my 2010 Clubby Just a for 18k out the door. It is a manual with sports and winter packages. I know it was a little cheaper because it was a dealer car. (I think the service guy ordered it an drove it.) I am confident I could still get 20k for it.

I've been looking for a 2009-2011 Clubman S with low miles with auto and sunroof and cant find anything here in Colorado. For the heck of it I looked at a few dealers in Chicago area (where some of my family lives) and there a ton there and priced pretty well. I might have to make a trip to Chicago or just wait for the right one to show up in Colorado???

Here in Idaho MINI's are pretty rare since the closest dealers are several hundred miles away, so most used dealers want top dollar for any used MINI. Any low mileage S R56 or R55 would still fetch over $20k.

Well, I'm talking to a dealer tomorrow about a potential trade. We'll see what happens. If it doesn't go through I'll likely list it here and local.

In the NW cars are still a premium, much like Idaho as near as I can tell. There are three dealers between Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska so supply is low. Or, at least it was when I bought my JCW out of Los Angeles.

Last month I bought my wife a '08 Clubman S with 32,000 miles on it and five months left on the warranty. It came with the sport package, convince package, premium package, leather seats, auxiliary driving lights, tinted windows and they let me have it for $19,500.

It’s was a lease return and is in very good condition. I looked around and this was the best deal I could find for a car my wife really wanted. I live in the Bay Area of Northern California.

Back story: These guys bought 4 MINIs off-lease last June. Two Hardtops w/autos, and two Clubman 6-Spds. The Hardtops sold within two weeks. Top dollar.

I bought the other Clubman last March. Fully-loaded S (and I mean FULLY... lux, sport, conv, winter, perf leather, wheels), 21K, near mint condition, they were asking $25,500, then $22,500. After nine months on the lot, they took my $19,500, and gave me top dollar on my trade to make sure I didn't leave (EOM sale).

The brown Justa was listed at $20K, then $17K, and now $15K. It's a beautiful car. I'm not sure if it's the model or the manual that's killing it on the lot (or the dealer's semi-rural location). Anyway, I got a great deal on the car I wanted.

Well, it depends on the car and where you are in the country. I got just shy of $23k on trade, not bad considering I bought it for that 20 months ago.

Ended up getting a 2012 Golf R 5 door to replace it.

Friend of mine who doesn't drive much is thinking of moving to a Mustang GT from his moderately well-equipped low mileage 2011 MCCSa. If anyone knows someone who might be interested here in Chicago let me know.
