Marks MINI 50 Hampton

Well I said a fond farewell to my lightning blue Clubby there, it was an excellent car and I hope the next owner has just as much fun in it as I had.

Here we have my 5 month old Cooper Hampton :D

Once again I want to say a massive thanks to all at David Prentice Portadown, another cracker

How is it going from an S to a straight Cooper?

That Reef Blue and the Hampton interior are the best!

Ok so I went on a little road trip :p

Getting onto Euro Tunnel

At the old Reims Gueux Circuit

This was down past Grenoble up in the mountains

The views were amazing!

Along Route Napoloen on the way to Castellane

So about 1 week before we left I had a message from Gerard from the Mini Club of Ireland, he asked if I wanted to put my car at their club tent, why not :D

I also met Paddy Hopkirk and Rauno Aaltonen

Back up through France via Millau

And Paris

Then a MINI factory tour in Oxford - my 7th tour

I like the subtle mod changes. The Euro Hampton edition has subtle differences than the US version. I did a couple of mods myself for our 50th that I thought should have came factory. I switch to a JCW steering wheel with the red stitching to match 50th interior.

Nice photos and travel story. I enjoy seeing the JCW grill juxtaposed to the chrome Cooper grill. I'm still not sure which I like better, but yours make a clear comparison as a before and after. The Hampton is the best looking MINI ever, methinks.

Great thread. I'm a transplant from Norn' Iron' too btw. My brother still lives in Belfast and has about 3 minis in the fold. Keep the pictures coming.

Which bulbs did you use to get rid of the "yolk"? And does the car recognize these bulbs as being fine or do you need to reset something?

Thank you very much, I do love it. A nice graduation present for myself I think. I prefer the JCW grille myself over the chrome one

I just used the cheap ones off eBay, they dont throw any warnings up. Chrome offset pin from memory. They were only about £3.
