R55 How many miles can I expect on new run flats?
What is interesting is that in another post someone replaced the RF's with normal tires and the go-kart feeling went away. There were some suggestions to get normal tires but with stiffer sidewalls to get some of the go-kart feel back.
The other thought is, I ride a large touring motorcycle and I get about 16-18K miles out of a set. We have tire choices of longer millage but not so sticky compared to really sticky but they wear out faster. I go the the mid range.
So far I have close to 1500 miles on the Countryman and I'm OK with the RF's but I am keeping an eye out for better suggestions. :-)

The Countryman may ride differently than the Clubman with run flats so that may be the best choice for you. The Clubman - IMHO - rides rough with the RF tires PLUS they do not wear well AND - in my case - one of the tires on our car got a puncture and the tire shop claimed he could not repair a flat tire on a RF tire.
So when I started looking at the cost of replacing one RF I quickly discovered I could get full set of Conti Extreme Contact DWS tires for about 2X the cost of replacing a single RF. Granted the tire shop seems to gouge people when buying a single tire - as they offered no discounts.
Lastly, the Clubman has a place to carry a spare tire under the rear floor - so the bottom-line was - again IMHO - a better riding tire with little if any loss in handling along with much longer tire lifetimes at a lower cost. All in all a fair trade-off.
I got little over 5700 miles before my driver side rear tire (ContiProcontact SSR RFT) got a puncture which can not be patched/plugged by America's Tire. I decided to replace all four RFTs with regular tires, I wanted to go with Conti ExtremeContact DWS based on the reports here but America's Tire didn't have them in stock so I went with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. After 150 miles later, I couldn't be more happier with replacing RFTs, my back appreciates my decision and I can honestly say I can drive my clubman more than an hour and will take it to long trips.
Same here. Mostly highway miles. 30K+ and in good shape. Rotated at 15k.
