Looking forward to swapping out my oem run flats on my new 2012 Clubman.
Just wondering how many miles can I expect to get before they need to be replaced?

Dang, made me look. Your header made it sound like you were in the market for new RFs (not to be confused with the old RF) and I was ready to send over 2 guys in white suits to take you away. But, to answer your question, around 20K plus or minus from previously reports. Sit tight and you'll get all kinds of advice on replacements.

I'm at 27k on my Conti runflats. The tread is getting pretty worn but I think I could, If I wanted, get 3-4k more on them. But Since winter is around the corner, I'm gonna replace them with the Conti DWS'.

At 19000 miles I decided to not only ditch the RFs but also the 17" wheels. After the switch to my 16" Michelin AS tires, I found a ready market for the original 17" RFs. So, if you are going to change tires anyway, go ahead & change, then sell your OEM RFs. Your back will thank you many times over!

My runflats were looking pretty bad at 12k miles and when I called the dealer they said the tires typically last from 20-30k miles.

I have regular tires now and they have already paid for themselves...had a nasty screw in one of the tires...got it repaired free at Discount Tire and I'm on my way.

I don't think there is a straight road in my county, so I just replaced my RF Potenza's at just under 8K. Rotated tires at 5K and was in for an oil change and service department said the rears were at the replace mark. I did not like the RF's at all, replaced them with Conti ExtremeContact DWS, much nicer ride and handling.

At around 6000 miles on my RF's, I only had half the tread life on the front tires. The rears were still doing pretty well. So I had to rotate the tires....

6000 miles? What do you drive on? Thats horrible. I'm at 28k on my Conti RF and the tread is finally getting a little too low.

I'm at 4,500 and was hoping for 10K just so I have an excuse to dump the Flintstone ride quality...

i have seen as low as 22K but as high as 36K but the norm is 25K-28K you could always take them off asap and replace them with better tires and sell these used for a few hundred. the more tread they have the more they are sellable. i have some customers that demand that them have again, so i offer them a used set with lots of tread and they save a ton of money and i unload tires. the highest i have asked for a set that was like new was 400. and that will cover most of the cost on a sets of better tires. you just have to be ready to sit on the tires for a while.

Rookies... Original 17" Dunlops: 41+K miles and counting. Rotated fronts/rears @ ~30K and expect to reach 50K at least. Granted 75% of the mileage is highway driving...

Why wait? I dumped mine at 4500 miles. Tossed it in the junk tire heap at the shop.
Non Run Flats are just way too worth it... Yes, the Flintstone Ride, why put up with THAT?

36K on my wife's car. Rotated every 5K. Check inflation once per week. Original Conti run flats.
26K on my R56 when I traded in on the Coupe. I still had plenty of tread. Could have driven another 8k. Again rotate every 5K and keep the tire pressure where it's supposed to be. Checked every week.

My RF's should last indefinitely because I took them off at 150 miles and they're in storage in my garage. Last time I checked, they still had good rubber on them. LOL

I just replaced my factory Conti runflats on my 08 Clubman S at 40,000 miles. The tread was not yet down to the wear bars but since winter was here, I decided to do it. I put the Conti runflats back on the car since they performed so well. I rotated them about every 10,000 miles and they wore very evenly. I only had one incident when I picked up a nail. My local gas station plugged the tire and it was fine for over 20,000 miles.

I realize many on this board really hate the runflats but they did a good job for me.

Our RF's picked up a puncture at about 18K miles. The local tire store said the flat could not be repaired - but the fronts were near gone and the backs weren't great either.

Switched to the conti Extreem Contact DWS and have no regrets. The ride is MUCH better.

Our run flats lasted 400 miles before we dumped them. You mileage will vary depending on driving style, how often you rotate tires. I would guess you would get at 12k and most likely if you drive tame will get more.
