I was perusing the 2012 MINI USA configurator last night and discovered that Laguna Green is now offered for the Clubman - and so is a white roof. Up 'til now, you could only get a white roof Clubman with the White Silver Edition package. Now, you can apparently get a white roof on any color Clubman. Has any one else experienced this? More importantly, has anyone seen or tried to order a white roof Clubman? My dealer's MotorTober event is this afternoon, and I'll be asking my MA . . .

I just noticed that white silver is available as a stand alone color, previously it was only available as part of the package. When I ordered mine a month ago, my MA said it was only available as a package part. Oh well, I probably would have still picked PW.

 

I noticed that, on some colors, you can have the rear tail light panels & rear bumper top in body color instead of black or silver. I think they look better but that's just me. You mileage may vary.

 

Yep. Mine is EG with color-matched c-pillars and I LOVE it.

 

Finally got a follow-up from my MA, who pursued this with MINI USA: The configurator is wrong - A white roof is still not offered on the Clubman, except as part of the White Silver package. Oh well . . .

 

Do you know what other colors are available with color-matched c-pillars? I would really love an all chili red clubman s!

 

Just go to the configurator and see which colors will let you add that option. I'm pretty sure CR is not available with color-matched c-pillars but things may have changed.

 

That's not the only configurator that's wrong. My insurance company (gekko) has links to a car buying site that uses one. It too would let you put white roofs on MINIs. But it was still a good site, because it sets you up with the fleet sales/internet sales (do MINIs have fleet purchasing? ) offices of three local dealers. For me that was most of San Berdoo, Riverside, Orange and LA counties! In SoCal, anything is local ...

But yeah, I tried to get a white Clubman roof also.

You can still get a white Clubman: it's called a paint job and some folks here have done it. If I had one of the dark colors like British Racing Green, I'd probably do it, and maybe do the body silver parts green. But I like the Ice Blue/Silver combination, it seems to make the Ice Blue icier by association.
