Bought hers in July and for some reason she's not get to drive it very much on our family trips

So decided that I didn't need to be practical and keep the '08 Element SC and got busy. Mini of Clear Lake (South of Houston) went down ~ $2500 off MSRP and got it tinted and added rubber mats at their cost (~ $225). They gave me $14,500 for the trade value and I added the additional 4 years of coverage for $3360 because if the dang Mini Connect stops working then there goes some of the entertainment. Left Wichita Falls at 3 AM and was there to pick it up at 9 AM. Quick hour to have all the stuff done and then I was on the road back home and made it to Dallas (300 miles) and had used just a bit more than 1/2 tank (nice 20 mph wind behind me though)!!! Today will be spent playing with Connect and perhaps getting some pics to share.

One curious thing was that my RPM @ 72 was about 3000 while in the Mrs.'s it will usually be about 2200 at the same speed (I've not searched the forum yet)??? Pics to follow.

Man... It is killing me to read about everyone picking up their new MINI while mine is sitting there, across the pond looking for a ride to make her way through "Ellis Island" and start a new life in the Rocky Mountains!

 

It will be the wait though!! I decided that eclipse gray was dark enough for me instead of my original desired color (black) and happened to find this one...
