I was suppose to get my car on Friday.... but now that Irene has entered the picture my car wont be here for another week..... dang hurricanes!

 

How dare Irene hold up your mini. I feel your pain. Mine is suppose to arrive on Wednesday, but I'm sure it will be delayed not only by the weather but the ships that are ahead of mine that are now hanging out somewhere in the Atlantic avoiding Irene.

 

When mine was coming in, it had to wait for something like three days to get through the Panama Canal due to other traffic. It was around the end of October or beginning of November 2008. I don't remember if a storm was involved in that problem or not, but it wouldn't surprise me.

 

as much as that sucks that you have to wait longer--trust me, you wouldn't have wanted your brand new cooper exposed to the weather.

 

that's the least of your worry. what if it was damaged during transport because of irene? yikes!

Yea, I've thought about the very rough seas and all our minis bouncing into each other in the hold. Not sure if they are just parked next to each other or if they're held down somehow. Anyone know?

 

Hope the VPC does not have to do a lot of painting..... at least not on mine.... hoping to see my car within 2 weeks. Thank goodness the storm was not that bad. My dealer tells me that I might even see it by Friday......we'll see.
