Well, to be fair, most people are idiots. I saw a bumper sticker today that said, "most of you are average" which I found amusing.

 

Speaking of the Hampton...

I went to my local MINI dealer interested in possibly ordering the Hampton and he tells me they are no longer taking orders on the Hampton??

Strikes me as odd since it is featured so prominently on the MINIUSA web page....showing off a car you can't get?

Has anyone else heard this? I understand the special editions are limited time only, but I believe this edition only came out in March maybe...I thought typically they were available for a year.

 

I was told they only made them for 4 months starting in March.

 

If there are other dealers close enough to you, you might find one elsewhere. I'm in Florida and all the dealers had at least one, and some had two, last week when I was looking. I had to take it as it came but decided I could live with that. The .9% financing helped. I called every dealer in Florida looking for auto a/c and mini connect but every dealer had the same config - auto, blue tooth, standard a/c and wipers, and of course what comes with the Hampton package. I would have ordered a manual, with some other options, but as you say, its too late to order.

I seriously love the interior.

 

Limited production numbers, I heard

Canada was only to receive 60 units. Not sure about USA.

 

Wow, I feel so exclusive and cool. Granted, I would feel more exclusive and cool if my Hampton was in my garage!
