Clubman and Golfer

I am an avid golfer and right now my golf clubs do not fit in my MCS without folding a seat down. It makes it impossible to keep my clubs in the car and also have the ability to carry four people if needed. Does a set of golf clubs fit in a Clubman without having to fold down any of the seats?

Don't believe so... the width back there is the same....I don't think the extra room is enough for golf clubs.....after all its not a clubsman its a Clubman

Got a roof rack? Put your clubs up there!

What they said. The Clubman (I forget how much exactly but my numbers will be close) only gives you another 9 or so inches. About 6 of that is in the boot give or take.

It's a PITA but I use a Thule Sidekick roof top box. It's one of if not the smallest and cheapest they make. It's also very light and big enough to carry gear like a set of clubs. Good luck!

R56 Wi MINI,

As others have said...The short answer to your question is no, you still need to fold down the rear seat to fit a proper set of golf clubs. The big difference between the two body styles is that in the Clubman you only need to fold down one seat. My Clubman is a 3 seater, plus my golf clubs. I have actually fit 3 bags in the back with just the one seat folded. I tried a couple of ways to fit a full size bag in a R56 we rented once but I was never able to fit without folding both rear seats and jamming the golf bag in crossways. I think that is one of the main reasons I never considered buying a R56. Cheers

Only one or two sets of clubs and golfers inside

As many replies have already stated, no, you cannot fit a standard golf bag and clubs inside without folding down at least one seat. I'm a golfer too and wonder how often would you have four people in your car when you go golfing?

The most I can carry is two golfers and two sets of bags. I'm wondering, too, where would the three other passengers place their clubs?

Unfortunately, you will still have to fold the seats down on a Clubman. I have to do this, even with 0 passengers.

There are a couple of options for the clubs:

1) Roof rack with Thule Carrier

2) Autolinx Golf Travel Case, but you would need to buy a hitch for your MCS

Yep, the seats must go down, at least one side. I have a child seat on the passenger side so I put the left side down and put my speed cart and clubs in. Or if I'm going a long distance I put the Thule cargo box on top and load everything in there.

That would make the trips a little quieter.

That just can't be legal. I would love to see a "You Tube" of you explaining to the highway patrol how everything, including the child in his car seat, fits neatly in the cargo box. I'd pay money to see that.
