R55 Some things to change/add?
Some things to change/add?
What would you change, add or delete from your Clubman?
MIN-Fred has 18 months/24K miles and am still loving the Clubbie; just some minor things to consider:
For the front seats in the sport package, add an adjustable lumbar support option, please?
Add a button to "kill" the bonging when the door is open with the fob inserted; i.e., if you have the door open and radio on.
Understand the "safety" rules but it should be able to re-set itself each time the fob is removed; having to reset the Sport button every time you start the car shows MINI/BMW has that technology.
Speaking of the fob, the silvering around the edge is wearing away and the plastic underneath could be a nicer color.
Change the weight on the passenger seat airbag sensor; almost anything more a loaf of bread on the seat sets it off.
Maybe they could add a sliding extension on the back of the driver's side flip-down sun-shade; there is about a 6" gap between the edge and the door pillar and can't tell you how many times the rising/setting sun has been aft of the sun-shade.
Make the nets on the back of the seats deeper; they don't anything larger than a folded up road map.
MINI-Fred has the cargo net which came with fittings in the overhead, front & back, and two extra D-Rings on the bulkhead just below the back seats. Can do without the overhead fittings but those D-Rings have been very handy for securing items (with the seats down) with straps fore and aft to keep larger items from shifting around; they should be standard.
Just a couple of thoughts...

Add: Coolant temperature gauge. Variable speed wipers on all models, not just the rain-sensor equipped ones. Turn signal stalks that make sense and do what they are supposed to do.
That is all!
Brilliant car. Lovin' every minute of it.

Revert the damn turn signals to how cars have worked for years. I only drive the Clubman once or twice a week so I never quite get the hang of the turn signals (I usually over do the cancel by going to far). The option of 1 or 3 blinks is stupid, it should have been 3 or 5 blinks (1 is incredibly useless).
I love the ability to program various options but can't believe that there is no option to unlock the doors when the key is removed. I second the coolant temperature gauge - the digital display on the tachometer is a vast improvement over the R53.
The engine and gas mileage are fantastic - big improvements over the R53.
