On the 4th of july I was stuck on some bad construction road near my home. Seems they are tearing apart every darn road in Wisconsin this summer. Any way I was stopping for the lights when I hit a pot hole I did not even really notice. I did when I hit it though . Things seemed fine till I started the Clubman up for the ride home and got the warning light and had no power steering. Made it home and called the dealer on Monday morning. I thought it was going to be the pump. The weird thing was when I drove it to the dealer i had power steering . They checked it out and told me the steering rack had to be replaced . The good thing it's covered. The bad is I'am driving a 09 Dodge Avenger that I'am just not feeling at all. Hopefully I will get Booker back tomorrow.

no kidding. it's the only factor in wisconsin that makes anyone wish for winter...like they say here, there's only 2 seasons...winter and road construction.

hit a doozy of a pot hole myself a few months ago...now the front passenger side wheel arch is out of whack by a good 1/2-inch or so.

 

I've been out of town for a week now and I actually do miss my car. I actually had a nightmare in which some one vandalized my car, specifically by repainting my Clubman some weird color. It's weirding me out that I'm this attached to it.

I also saw a Clubman here in Nantucket yesterday and had to take some pictures. If you live on Nantucket and your license plate is ACKBOX, I saw your Clubbie yesterday and it looked great.

 

Boy howdy can I confirm that Wisconsin has some of the worst roads in the HewHessHey! I was up in Winona, Mn for the Mini EmW deally and drove over to Lake Camelot to see friends - got to know the Wisconsin roads up close and personal like! Didn't fall into any pot holes, luckily.........

I have to say tho, you're not alone. I've driven I-90 from the eastern part of Wyoming to mid Wisconsin this year, most of it is either in construction or in terrible shape, and about 15 miles west of Winona it gets so bad you have to slow down to about 45 mph! Nasty!

 

Good news, Booker is back and took the family for a drive. So things felt back to normal.

Glad it didn't fry your engine since you can't tell what temp you're running at in these things. And whenever I drive someone else's car it feels so alien. Crisp, tight handling, steering feel, power, etc is ALL GONE!

Just to make you jealous, I got a 328xi when I took my car in for the loaner.
