Took the Clubbie to the carwash today. I don't like to do that, but it's been 95+ here in KC and I tore up my shoulder the other day...with a Mini car show coming up Sunday it was the right thing to do. Well, the washer guys just loved it, eventually there were about 10 of them going over every inch of it and did a very, very good job cleaning inside and out.

 

Swirls? 10 guys swarming on a MINI at the carwash just makes me cringe.

Good you like the result, a clean MINI is a happy MINI owner.

It's touchless so no swirls and they only use micro fiber towelling. The carwash only hires college students...not the homeless, so they kinda know what they're doing. There was a Porsche 911 in front of me and a Corvette behind me, so the Clubbie felt safe. But the kids definately liked cleaning up the Mini. 20 bucks.

 

Opposite of the experience I had. I went to pick up Pep at the detailing place the last time and the two guys working in the garage were ripping on him. One was like "I would have just got a SUV crossover." Yeah moron, because that's a comparable vehicle. Other was saying how it was annoying that when the key is in the ignition the car is annoying when you have the door open. Well no kidding Sherlock. Then take the key out of the ignition. Not to mention every car makes a noise of sorts when that's the case.

Well the guy who did it didn't get a tip from me. Though I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tip there anyway.

I've used Waterway with good results before, in fact we bought a "Clean Car" membership there for my wife's Audi........sorry I'm gonna miss the MINIs at the Market show this year, but I'm not sure I could have taken the heat anyway.

 

Got any pictures of your clubman? I'll probably see it on Sunday. I'll be at the Mini show with my yellow Classic.

 

The Waterway on State Line about 80th? And we will be at the Market tomorrow...it's the Chili Red Clubman S (Bumblebee was parked two cars down fron us last year). And hey!!!!...it's only supposed to be in the mid 80s.
