Is pacific blue leather/cloth combo interior no longer available in the U.S. for '09? I am considering Laser Blue and would really like to pair it with the blue interior but, despite photos of it on the Miniusa.com site, it is not shown in the configurator.

 

It has been replaced with Cream White.

 

I was afraid of that. So much for a "fun" blue/blue color combo. The other interior choices are kind of dull.

 

I was "configurating" the other day and noticed that Pacific blue was no longer an option. It made me glad that I got it when I did. I have no idea why this option would have been eliminated, especially since a lot of the promo photos of the 2008 Clubman included the Lightning blue/Pacific blue combo. It is now, perhaps, a future rarity.

 

Lightning Blue is gone too!

 

MINI has never stuck with a Blue color in its 7 year history:

Indy Blue metallic (2002-2004)
Electric Blue Metallic (2002-2005)
Cool Blue metallic (2005-2006)
Hyper Blue Metallic (2005-2006)
Space Blue Metallic (2006)
Lighting Blue (2007-2008)
Laser Blue (2007-?)
Horizon Blue (2009-?)
Oxygen Blue solid (2007-?)

 

I love my pacific blue interior....hmmmm

It was the release color for the clubman, it never lasts long...

+1 for the Pacific Blue interior.

 

i tried to order the blue interior/exterior combo back in august, was told by my ma the blue interior option was discontinued on the '09s due to lack of sales...so i switched to the red interior/exterior combo.

imho, mini should offer interior/exterior color combos for every paint color...except maybe yellow. that would prolly give me a headache.

 

Thats odd.. I just built a 2009 JCW Hardtop and Pacific Blue is available for selection with laser.

 

It looks like its still available on the Cooper Hardtop but not the Clubman.

 

Well, MINI hasn't stuck with many of its colors for very long. I think the only 2002 colors that are still available are Pepper White, Chili Red, and British Racing Green.

Their fickleness is most-noticeable with the blue and silver variations, though, because MINI has had so many of them over the years. Looking at the configurator today, of the ten colors listed for each model, between three and five of them are some shade of either silver or blue.

 

I have it on my Laser Blue 08' MCCS, but only door and dash trim, not seat trim. You can still get it in this combo on an 09'. Select the black punch leather and then the pacific blue color line. You get a full leather seat with this combination.
