For those that have installed a Yakima LowRider and bars on a Clubman with sunroof, does the installation (or attachments (i.e., kayak, bike mounts, etc.)) interfere with opening the sunroof? Looks like the bars and LowRiders by themselves don't interfere but I don't want to be surprised.

 

Bump. Anyone out there with Yakima Racks installed on their roof rails?

thule crossroad universal 450 low mounts on mine with new thule 4 pr ski rack clamp.
with alpine skis mounted, bindings and the bottom of the 4 pr rack mount screws clear the sunroof by a minimum of 1.25" at all times in its motion- tilt/opened

 

does anyone know of any chrome aftermarket/oem rails on the market for the clubman, or are the only ones available the black factory ones?

 

Only the black factory OEM. And if they are not installed at the factory they can NOT be retrofitted to the car.

 

I have the Yakima Low Riders on my Clubman and there is plenty for clearance for fully opening the sunroof.

I will post some pictures when i get home.
