Painting arches on clubman aero kit

Just wondering if anyone has a cost for painting the wheel arches on a Clubman with factory aero kit already installed? Was told by MA that my 09 Clubman would come w/painted wheel arches from the factory....big mistake! Now I am looking to have to have them painted as I don't like the look of the aero kit w/out the painted arches. Does anyone know the quality of Nu Way Body Works in Portland, OR?

Yeah, your MA was misinformed. The regular Cooper style and the Cabrio has the painted arches from the factory, but not the Clubman. I think MINI took 1 dose too many of the stupid pill when they decided on that one.
Anyhow, I don't know about Nu Way Body Works, but I did have my arches done for $500, plus shipping, through Way Motor Works. What he does is order new arches completely, have them painted and then mail them to you so that you can install them. They came out great, but I will say that the rear arches are not as stiff as the front arches, so when you install the painted ones you can see where the clips pull. It's not horrible, but I stare at everything so I noticed it. Then, also, the bottom of the side skirts are still that black plastic. If you're really looking at the car, it looks kinda odd. However, most people don't even notice it. But I am looking into having a local shop do those for me as well.

I have a few pics in my gallery w/ the painted arches if you want to take a look.

Yes, the $500 included the replacement arches.

Way Motor Works is located in Atlanta, GA. I believe he is a NAM Vendor. The website is waymotorworks.com . He doesn't have the arches listed on the site, but you can call him to put in the order.

Reldieh Got called away and finally made it back to check out the pics of your car, looks excellent. So your not quite happy with the gap at the body on the rear arches? Not sure how this area is attached not having a car to look at but is it possible to add more clips?

Thank you

No, there's not a gap. What I meant was there are small dents on the rear arches themselves, almost as if it is being pulled too tightly at the attachment points even though it isn't. The plastic is just thinner. I believe they were there on the arches before I installed the painted ones, but because they were that matte plastic, it wasn't noticeable at all. But, like I said, it doesn't look horrible. In fact no one really sees it unless I point it out. I just wanted to let you know so, if you got it done, you wouldn't freak out and think something was done wrong when and if you saw it.

Now, don't let any of this deter you. I love my painted arches. Even if I knew ahead of time that these "dents" would be there, I would still get it done. I just think it looks awesome.

Not a problem, glad I could help.

When you do get the arches done, let me know, and take some pics. I would love to see the BRG all finished, I know it's gonna look great!

Oh, and make sure you (or the body shop) get new clips to install the new arches- when you take off the existing arches it is inevitable that you will break the clips. Don't try to be super careful because it won't matter, lol, they will break. It's best to have all new clips on hand to avoid any delays.
