R81's on a clubman?

Does anyone know if these wheels will fit on the new clubman? i have a 2008 clubman s, and got it with 16" wheels, but would like to be able to use the R81's as a winter tire. i really like the style.

if they can fit, where can i find a set?

thanks!

Unfortunately the R81 are 15" wheels and will not fit over the Clubman S Front brakes. There are even some 16" wheels that will not fit over the Clubman S brakes. So be very careful when changing to Winter tires to make sure that the wheels will fit over teh larger brakes on the S version.

boo, i totally forgot that's why the s doesn't come with 15's...

ok, does anybody know of a similar style in a bigger size that fits the mini? or is that too much of a long shot...?

It's quite a long shot that many of us have been searching for. Holies rock

Porsche phonedials are somewhat similar and come in 16's but require adapters since they're 5 lug. Konky ran them for a while and they looked great.

They make lambo replica wheels that look a lot like holies that you could adapt. And there are a few other OEM wheels that look like larger Holies, but they're rare so you've really gotta search for a nice used set.

you got a reg. clubman, right? you should be set for some winter hollies now. then i can be jealous of your color matched wheels in the summer and then jealous of your holies in the winter...

i have seen shots of konky rocking the posrche wheels. and they did look nice. i'll have to talk to him about that.

thanks for the quick responses, even if the did squelch my dreams...

So the holies would fit and work w/o any issues on the non S Clubman, am I correct? Forgive my wheel and bolt pattern ignorance.

Bolt pattern is the same.....the only thing I'm not sure about is the lug hole size. I think it may be 12mm which is too small for our 14mm lug bolts.

which could theoretically be drilled out to fit.

Right, that's what I had lost somewhere in the back of my mind. It's the lug whole size. I knew there was some other issue, but couldn't remember it.

I've always loved those Holies... I'm not sure how I'd think they looked on the Clubman...but boy, do I like them. Saw some the other day - on a MINI - while I was walking and it brought back all those old feelings of admiration... Oh well, I guess, it is better to move on to other wheel fantasies then.

But you say you're not sure about the lug hole size. Hmm, I wonder who would be 100% sure on this? Lurch, are you out there???

True, one could, I suppose, drill them out...

i heard someone say a while ago that all oem mini wheels would fit both 12 and 14mm bolts. while they did not specifically mention the holies, i think it would probably be ok.

Holies are by far my favorite OEM wheel. Look great, lightest available I believe and make the car super tossable.

However, there is the bolt size issue which I believe can be addressed with some drillin and also I saw them on a few new generation R56's and they don't really look the part.

As much as I love them, I think they would look awkward on the Clubman ...
someone want to attempt Photoshop?

So you were out there. Right, the Clubman might be too big for them. A photoshop of 'em would be handy.

No need for photoshop....real deal. And the holes are in fact large enough for the 14mm lugs.

Wow, my wish is your command! Seriously, thanks - I don't really inhabit MotoringUnderground, so I'd forgotten about looking there, though I am doubtful that I would have found the photos.

I think it looks kind of cute. Now maybe cute is not what some of you are after, but I don't know...I think it looks kind of nice. Hmm.....

So are we 100% sure that the lug holes will work? I mean do we know that this fellow didn't drill them out? It's just that I've found some...and I'm considering whether to do anything about them or not.

Aha!!!! Thank you, once again.

So then the only question remains - would TPMs fit on or not and do we really care?

But do they look any smaller than any other 15 inch wheel?

OK, I've beaten this to death...and will stop now. Thanks for everyone's help.
