Clubby accessories

Anybody have a Clubman with one or more of the following accessories:

- Bumper protection strip (clear or black)
- Black Jack side scuttle
- Boot box (folding)
- Roof graphic

What you do think - worth it or no? Quality? Thanks!

I have the bumper protection thing in clear. I didn't get it through the dealer, but I do think it is worth it. Because of the finish on that part of the bumper, if you are taking something out of the boot and it happens to scrape against it, the scratch will be extremely evident. Multiply that by a year or two of use, and you can see where that part of the bumper can become rather scraped and quite unsightly. With the protection piece, you have no worries. If the protection piece gets too scratched up, you can replace it.

Folding Boot box? I thought that came standard with the Clubman. I got one in my S and find it very useful, esp. for Costco runs.

I do believe that the boot box (folding) is standard issue.

Bumper protection strip Clear is what i have an i am so glad i got it as it already is starting to show some wear form where the dog gets in and out all the time. Probably the best thing i did for my car.

Roof Graphic - I am still waiting on my niece to finish the custom painting os i can get it made into a graphic for the sun roof.

Custom Dog Beds - I had them made jsut after getting the car. I found material that matches my H/C cloth leather interior fabric perfectly.

Changed all the interior lights (roof, foot wells, puddle, rear luggage) to Blue LED's if gives the car a great look when you hit the unlock button at night.

My S Clubman came with the folding boot box. I haven't used it yet but I like the idea.

I did have clear boot protector installed (not at the dealer) and it's worth every penny and then some. I have other areas protected as well other than the bonnet (A pillar, small strip on the roof, etc)

No roof graphics but I did tint the sunroof as dark as I could go and love it.

I have the folding boot box, haven't used it yet though. I had my roof graphic put on last week; you can check it out in my gallery pics. As for the boot protector....can anyone direct me in the right direction? Did you purchase it from the dealer?
OH....I wouldn't recommend having the dealer put on the roof graphic. They wanted to charge me 420 dollars for installation alone, I ended up finding a tint guy that came to my house for 150.
My 2 cents.

I use the box constantly when I can't fit things in the boot. It fits nicely on the rear seat and I can just pick up the box full of groceries and bring it in the house.

I have the boot box, its handy but come to think of it...I never use it. Got the full package on the clear bra. Best $699 I spent, its reassuring to know at least some of my beautiful paint is protected. I love the roof graphics, but with my car, I can't find one that matches the "mood" or look of her.

I got the boot box at no cost with my 08. It keeps groceries from rolling around the boot - a useful feature.

I did some research and found https://www.xpel.com/ has a dealer search tool. If you have a choice, make sure you use a dealer thats a DAP member as they have computers that cut out your patterns (and can make adjustments) For example, I was able to specify how far up the bonnet the protection would go.

My local dealer also cut custom door wells for the passenger, driver AND boot doors. He also has patterns for your A Panels (I think that's what it's called - the black supports to the left/right of the windscreen), the leading edge of the roof and rocker panels.

I absolutely love how it looks on my Clubman - in most light, you can't see it at all.

Good luck!
William

My 2 cents.

I have this one http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=5277
Its actually designed for the hardtop, but fits the Clubman just fine (long enough). Works will to protect the interior when I carry my mountain Bike. I got mine from the dealer.

Flytime, do you have any pics you could post of this? The one on the website is kind of hard to see. So it will go from the back of the front seats to the rear doors? Up the sides too? Hard/easy to take in and out?

Thanks!

There is a version specifically for the Clubman: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=6018
Someone here has it and has posted about it.

Could any one post a picture of the boot box please. The Clubman we test drove didn't have one. I'd like to see what it looks like. Thanks!!!

Hey, That is my Otto's interior protector in that photo. I didn't realize my photo came out that good.
I love that protector. It was worth every penny to keep the interior pristine. No dog hair under it and I have had it in there since I picked up the car in February. Great quality.

The visual barrier up front keeps my Greyhound in back too. Just a great addition to a great car.

Cloud... is it as high as it looks in the picture? It doesn't block the view does it? Could you wash it or hose it off if needed?

BTW I'll post a pic of my boot box tomorrow unless someone beats me to it!

This boot protector does go from the back of the front seats (has some anchors on it that hook under the front seat headrests) to the rear doors. It also has a strap to go around the back seat seat backs (in the fold down position) and suction cups (one) on each side attach to the side windows to hold the sides of the boot protector up. Also it has 2 velco straps on each side to do the same. The rear section flap hangs over the rear bumper to protect it while loading stuff and zipps up on the rear corners to protect the rear doors once every thing is loaded. The form of this rear section is shaped more for the hardtop than the Clubman but it works well without any issues. Its made of heavy vinyl and folds into a pouch that will fit in the back below the floor.

Art, they are so beautiful...I mean handsome. No doubt the all inclusive boot protector would help, but have you checked out Pooch Styles? They are a privately held company with high quality products and have excellent customer service...and no I do not, yet, own any of their products but I know MINI folks that do. Here's a link:http://www.poochstyle.com/photo_gall...s.asp?PID=7215

Otra: I do have the poochstyles.com liner and plan on using it with this other product. THe softness of that with the durability and extra protection this one offers will make a huge difference. We currently haul our labs in our 03 mini because we don't want to trash the clubman. This newer cover that attaches to the sides looks to address the problems with scratching the walls of the mini inside. They are great dogs Rusty and Raven! We are blessed to own them.

Be sure to search for it.... mine was under the false floor. I didn't find it til the third day or so! I leave mine out and in the box shape. I keep it filled with my reusable grocery bags and a roll of paper towels for emergency cleanups.

RE: Dogs and liners. I'm planning on hauling my German Shepherd and a JRT. Even though one weighs about 80 lbs and the other 11, it is a toss up as to who sheds the most hair!! And those JRT hairs hook onto carpet like barbs!

From looking at the pictures, it looks like the Mini product covers the sides a bit better and is more waterproof/easier to vac or wipe down. I'd rather have the black than the checkered though, but am only seeing the Clubman version in checkers.
