Luggage Compartment Separating Net???

Has anyone seen or have the luggage separating net?

Its item 413 on the European configurators, not available on the US one.

Pictures of it up and attached would be great.

I have one, but haven't used it yet. Been too busy driving! I'll figure it out and get a picture in here for you today or tomorrow...

Are you referring to the cargo net in the rear? I love the cargo fold up box too!

Frankly, one of the only disappointments I have with the Clubman is the net they give you with the car. I have tried and tried to figure out how to use it to hold grocery bags or others things in the rear, but I find it is just too small to use. If you hook it to all four rings, it is so tight and low to the floor, I can't get a bag of groceries, or much else, under it without crushing everything.

IMO, the nets they provide with the Coupe are much more useful.

If I'm doing something wrong with the net, please let me know.

I've used the small clubby net to keep some items from flying around back there but it is not designed to go behind the front seats. I use it for small boxes and the like.
Since we in US don't get the headliner hooks, I'm thinking of putting something together with a soccer practice net to keep items from flying forward in between the seats into my right arm.
I'm curious if anyone's already mcguyver'd such a contraption.

Unless you specialty ordered it after the fact the nets you already have are not big enough.

There are two different option codes neither available in the US as far as i know.

1. Trunk Room Net Code S413A
2. Luggage Compartment Package S418A

The parts do show up in the US parts locator but I am not sure if the parts are available in the US or if there are instructions available. It is something i am looking into.

But i can tell you this both packages do use the same net and it is part number 51-47-6-952-382. There are a bunch of other parts that would need to be orders like the ceiling hooks, floor hooks and bolts etc. if there is not an actual kit available. I do not see a kit part number

I will post more when i get more info.

or if anyone is closer to a dealer then i am 1-1/2 hours (i can never get them on the phone) that can look into this that would be helpful to all.

I am in Europe, so I was thinking about ordering one.... It really doesn't have a discription that I have been able to find on the euro sites. I really just want to see what it looks like and figure out wether it will keep my big galut of dog off of my soon-to-be nice interior.

Just want to suss it out before I plop 100+ euro on it....

Thanks again for the pics

OK, so I looked at that net thing today right before we motored off to Wegmans. Uh, is it supposed to do what exactly?
The box, though. Very nice!

I think the net thing is actually designed to the hold the box in place
(but only when the box is folded flat) That's all I got.

Otherwise, they both store very nicely below the floor boards.
I'm just glad I didn't pay extra for the net.

The net you are talking about is the one in the boot space below the flat floor and i have gotten a full case of soda under it including the box (flat) so that the beer does not slide around.

The net that lilliux is talking about (i believe) is one has hooks at the floor and the roof just behind the front seat and hooks at the roof and floor just behind the rear seats. This is made to keep items from the cargo area from flying into the front seat area while moving. The part numbers i posted in an earlier post are of this netting. My 5 Series BMW wagon comes with one built in. I will try to take pics of it this eveing and post them.

Finally got a response from my dealer that the Trunk Room Net is not currently available in the USA or Canada. It is supposedly available in Europe though.

Thanks for the clarification! I am used to the cargo nets that you're supposed to stuff shopping bags in.

Sorry I didn't clarify. I ordered a US spec mini, but it is being delivered to a German dealer. Since it is coming to Europe I am ordering some euro mini parts that you can't get in the states, I did look at the clubbys in the German dealer and they don't have roof hooks..... So I am curious to see how this thing connects and works...

I'll just go ahead and order it, in December when I get my car and net. I'll post pictures and what not, so we will all have a better idea. Hope its worth it

Bumping this thread back up

Any of the Euro owners have anything to add or pictures? Thanks.

Did find this:

Still wondering what is needed for installation, so pics of the "hooks" in the ceiling would be great

I've never used mine like they show.

But I do use the net to stop a can sliding about when I get fuel for my mower. My can fits neatly into the gap you create by folding the flat floor and the net then stops it sliding about if I drive a bit too briskly. But it's a costly way to do what any elastic luggage strap would.

Any news on this item? I would like to add it to my Clubman when it arrives, but I haven't even seen any photos of it. I did find the following info on RealOEM though, so we should have all the part numbers:

Thanks,
Michael

Unfortunately, neither of these are available in the USA. I have also checked the car and it looks like the mounting points for all of these are not in my 08 clubman. This may be different for the 09's but it is very possible that there are missing from them as well.

Unless I am missing something, the cargo net (trunk room net) won't work with the US version of the Clubman as there are no headliner hooks.

As far as i know the roof hooks are added to the car if the kit is ordered. But the mounting points for the hooks are not in my car.

I thought the net provided with the clubman is intended to be used as a "floor" if you take the flat floor out to have more cargo space. I read that the secondary floor only supports 50 pounds, so hooking the net across the bottom would provide support for loading the back up with stuff. Or I could be smoking something, LOL.
