R55 Will THAT fit in a Clubman?
It was a very windy day and on the highway was not a fun drive. Got blown all over the place with that large box on top.
BTW what mountain is that where the picture was taken?

Love it!
Mt. Batchelor, Oregon. About a 3-hour drive for us, but once I arranged the skis so my elbow didn't hit them when shifting it was quite comfortable.
My girlfriends sons skis sit on the dash and touch the rear barn doors, they have to go on top.
Mine sit between the seats and are angled over the passenger seat if in the car.
I Find the car handles great in the snow with snow tires on it. What are your thoughts on snow and the MINI.
Good pun,
The car is lowered on MegaMINI Eibach springs, strangely there is very little ride height change with all that stuff in or out.
The drop was about 1.5 inches and with a matching Eibach 19mm sway bar and Koni FSDs, the thing is rock solid loaded or empty
Bill

The guy at Lowes that helps people get there stuff in their cars thinks I crazy and asked me "Why not get a pickup it would make it a lot easier?" my replay was "There not as much fun to drive".

Will a 40 gallon water heater fit in a Clubman?
Has anyone tried fitting a 40 gallon water heater in the back of a Clubman?
Since Home Depot only offers next day delivery, I might have to try this...

I don't think you will be able to fit a regular heater; they normally are about 60 inches tall and the cargo space is about 47 (back seats down; check this link for the cargo space: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...imensions.html)
Maybe on the roof if you have the railings (or try a blanket and some cords)
Good luck and let me know

Yes, flyfishing gear will fit in a Clubman.

It was a change to get used to not having a p/u tailgate to sit on to get into waders but you have to get creative.
Now I need to figure out how to carry the kayak on top.

Bought an oak blanket chest 20" deep x 24" high x 48" long and got it home in MINI-Fred; had to not only drop the back seats but move the front seats all the way forward to get it in. It was at a slight angle, pointed at the passenger seat, so carefully closed the barn doors and pushed the drivers seat not quite all the way back and it was snugly emplaced.
If you can disconnect/uninstall the passenger seat (probably not recommended), you might just be able to pull it off with the doors closed.

Great thread! I didn't need a Clubbie either, when we went to MITM last year (and camping afterwards) in our MCS:

On board were:
1 6'2" man
1 5'9" woman
Spare tire (behind passenger seat)
2 sleeping bags
Air mattresses
Tent
3 large suitcases
Medium-sized cooler, with food
Pots and Pans
Miscellaneous food in boxes, bags, and cans
Miscellaneous cooking supplies
Miscellaneous plates, cups, silverware, etc.
Maps and guide books
Audio books for 3 weeks
Towels
Lantern
Flashlights and batteries
Car washing supplies
Assorted mountain camping clothing (not enough--brrrr!)
Blankets
4 pairs of shoes besides what we had on
Camera, GPS, radar detector
Assorted stuff I can't remember now,
PLUS a 25 pound Standard Bred Long Hair Dachshund and a 7 pound Yorkie, both of whom rode the first 10 miles, as far as the boarding kennel, much to the utter disappointment of the Yorkie, who was convinced he was going all the way...

Dogs
I would say dogs are the most popular thing to haul in Minis.
They can go the easy way in my Clubman...

Or the fun way in the Cabrio....

My wife has since found great dog harnesses and a back seat cover for her car (not shown in the picture above).
