Hi Jane and welcome to NAM.
I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath in the early 90's and we used to frequent an antique shop on the road to Cromer, I think it was between Hevingham and Marsham. This guy had 6 chicken barns full of antiques and we loved going there. We really enjoyed our 4 years in the UK.
Oh yea, I drive an Astro Black Clubbie S, you gonna love it!

Welcome Jane&Ian! There are other UK people here, including dlpruk. I'm sure your Clubbie will bring you much in the way of motoring happiness. I've had mine since February and not one problem. I can get a little better than 40 mpg and even if I do a little spirited driving, it still gets in the high 30's. My buddy from the UK tells me about the high price of petrol there so that should make you happy.
Hi Jane,
Yup, I'm around. Where do you live? My wife and I'll be happy to whet Ian and your Clubman appetites - and your whistles - if you are ever around North Nottinghamshire. Drop me a PM, eh?

Jane,
First of all. welcome to the site, and good luck with the new Clubbie.
I was wondering if you could tell me what a "Chili Pack" is. I hear of the term all the time, I also read Modern Mini, from your side of the pond, and they mention it all the time.
Once again, Lots of Luck,
Larry

When the BMW mini's first came out they had, salt, pepper, chilli pack, these are optional extras that you can have on your mini, not sure but the salt pack has been reomved -that was a basic no frills bmw mini, pepper pack has a few more extra things on the car and chilli pack is the top package,so for instance a chilli pack could be Xenon headlights, floor mats,17 inch alloy wheels, full leather, leather sterring wheel etc etc, basically its the "added extra" what is put on the car
what colour did you get?spec?
Jane,
I just realized (yeah I'm slow
) that once your car is built the transport won't be across the pond (as most of us have had the pleasure to agonize as we wait for the MINIs to come to their new homes) but across England. That's really cool. Speaking with your MA when is your Clubman going to be built and how long before you are supposed to take delivery?
