Camping with the Fam pics

So for those in the market for a clubman and having doubts about space with kids. Here is proof that there is enough. I've got a 3 year old daughter and a 4 1/2 year old son. We went camping about a month ago with them for a whole weekend and were able to get everything into the mini and roofbox. Granted I did have to strategically pack things into the car
But either way we made it. The kids absolutely love the car. My son asks' me every morning if mommy or dad is taking the car.

Oh and the looks I got at the campground when we pulled up and started to pull things out of the car was priceless.

Start of the trip

Proof that kids love Clubby's

Somehow this all made it on to the Mini

Awesome. Great to see your able to take your Mini on vacation. The rule at our house is anything trip longer than 5 hrs, we have to take the SUV.

I've always been a good packer, it just took a little more time with the mini. We are headed to Baltimore for Thanksgiving and will be taking the Mini. Any long trips from now on will be in the Mini. If I need more space I just through the roof box on. Even with the box on I was still getting 30+ mpg's.

THANK YOU! for posting a picture of the back seat with 2 car seats and littles on board. It's hard to imagine how the car seats will fit.

Nice pix! I've managed to live out of my MCS coupe for up to 6+ weeks on cross-country road trips so I can only imagine the luxury of packing up a Clubbie! Love that Hot Chocolate color, too.

Nice job.

We used to camp with a Dodge Neon. Two adults and everything else, including a portapotti, tables, chairs, cots, large tent, dining canopy, ice chest, and all the other stuff you need for four days (like 12gal water). I carefully arranged things so everything would fit (took 4 tries, no roof box). Then I made up a loading diagram so I'd know where everything went when time to pack again. Also nice cause I knew if I forgot something.

I have something in mind for my Clubby that involves a Thule box and some special vinyl work but I need to get the perfect shape/size box to match the car. Your Thule looks sweet....what model and litre size is it please

The Thule is my buddies that I borrowed. I'm pretty sure it is the
Atlantis 2100 http://www.autoanything.com/roof-racks/65A3097A0A0.aspx
I wanted to try it out to make sure the it would fit with the wide width. My plan is to get the 2100 in black to match my roof.
Now having the box in a Union Jack flag or a MiniMe Clubman would be SOOO

don't worry I wouldn't steal your thunder, my guess is this will not be cheap to do. Please post pics if you do it, I'd love to see it.
