Keyed - again!! URGGGGG....

It could have been worse I guess - this time it's only the right rear quarter panel. On my Cabrio - it was the entire left side of the car.... Still, I just don't get it.....

Mike did a freelance Photo Shoot at an upscale Art Gallery in Del Mar - came out to this...... Definitely too deep to buff out - dang it.... I guess some Hoitie Toitie thought our MINI wasn't good enough to be parked there...

Oh my Donna! You seem to have this horrible luck with key attacks and burning MINIs

Someone seems to be angry at you or your choice of car. At any rate, I would get it fixed and move the heck outta there

What a bummer. What is wrong with people?

That sucks Donna ... never understand people doing this.

My old CR Coupe was keyed a few times. Usually after I waxed it and parked it in some busy area of all places. Flashy cars atract all kinds of people, some with not good intentions.

What is really sad about these incidents is not only the damage inflected to the car, but how some people are so angry at life, themselves and others that they feel compelled to destroy personal property for the sick pleasure of it.

Usually the perpetrators are either very disturbed kids/teenagers or adults with mental/moral issues.

Oh My, I would be besides myself. There is malcious people out there, but in general its someone you made angry, stuff like this is normally a vindictive person who feels justified in there act. You have any enemies? cut anyone off while driving to the photo shoot? If not maybe its a case of mistaken identity. either way that sucks. I feel you pain

You know - I can see why when some people get older, they move to REMOTE places so they don't have to deal with people any more - LOL!!!

And you're right - we haven't had the best of luck with our MINIs....but somehow, we just keep coming back for more...

Here in Miami if someone cuts you off and you give them the finger, you may get shot to death. So in the big scheme of things, things could be a lot worse.

Hehehehe - we're giving it our best shot... I guess if we can live through a MINI burning down, we can get through these other things eh? Simply irritating though......

I always lose a teeny bit of faith in the human race when I hear stories like this. I am so sorry this happened to you and your MINI. I feel sorry for people who are so full of negative stuff that they feel compelled to do something like that. Very sad.

Yeah, you are in good hands. I was insured with them for many years while in the Air Force. So, I've seen their claim service both as a customer and a professional. They're good.

Donna... I'm sorry to hear this. Like everyone has said I just don't understand why people do this? It doesn't make a lot of sense.

Sorry to see your perfectly good car marred by someone. I can only hope KARMA kicks his or her's behind.

You've got a great attitude. Keep the faith!

Sorry to hear about your car. It seem to remember reading a few stories on here lately about MINIs getting keyed. Then, just last week, a friend of mine in Nashville, TN called to tell me that his beautiful Oxygen Blue MC had been keyed! Now you.....Yikes!

Again, sorry to hear about the incident. I'm sure it will look as good as new after being repaired.

Donna and Mike,
I read thru this early this evening, and was left speechless. I do not understand people anymore. I have been around the block a few times, but am at a totall loss of why someone would do this. As the bumper sticker says "Mean People Suck". I hope the repair job is painless, and the next time I get to read one of your post it is fillied with you usual Up Beat comments on someones new Mini. I do now know if one understands the hurt they cause when they do something stupid like this. I wish you both the best,

Larry
