Just returned from ordering my new MCCS

Well I took the plunge and spent more than I should have - but hey you only live once. I ordered a Laser Blue/Black roof, automatic, Pacific Blue inside, and nav system. She should be in manufacturing the 27th week or first week in July ...I expected it to be much later.

Very tough decision on color and whether to go manual or automatic but I think I made the right choice for me. Anyone have an automatic but wish they had gone manual?

Can't wait to get my new Clubman.

Congrats. Everyone makes the right choice for them. It sounds like people with the autos loves them. I played with the paddle shifters on my test drive, but I wanted the higher mph.

Congrats. I'm too old and way too much city driving for manual. The Japanese trans is fantastic.

For our test drive, we had the auto and my dh thought the "shifting" was fun. I too drive too much traffic to mess with manual. I just don't want to concentrate that much on gears.

Sounds like the auto is a more solid tranny than the manual for 07 and 08. It's gonna be a little odd going back to a stick. It should make me pay attention better though.

Congrats. Don't have the clubman but I do have the automatic and I like it. If you live in the city with stop and go traffic you'll appreciate it.

The people I know with an automatic Clubby both need and love it! If you feel it's best for you, I'm sure you'll find yourself in situations where you are very glad you have it.

I love that color choice. Check out my gallery if you have not seen it yet. Very striking. Did you go with the chromline exterior? That really sets it off nicely.

Congrats!

i noticed that the majority of Clubman's on here are automatics.
a new spin for MINI owners, who usually prefer manuals.

laser,
three comments:
1) good for you!
2) it'll be here before you know it
3) you'll enjoy the automobile so much you'll see it was worth it

ART ED,

Now I really can't wait to get mine. Great pics. I definately made the right color choice. I did not go with the chromeline, just made other choices. Thanks for the pics.

Congrats on your order. I placed my order 2 weeks ago and have a production number. My m.a. said I could expect it to arrive late August. Do different dealers have different allocations and different waits on ordering or was my m.a. just being conservative? I to am going with the laser blue, with a silver roof however. I'm coming from an electric blue with white r53. Now I need to decide when to put it up for sale. I could go carless for a while in the summer since I don't have to drive kids to school and we'll use the Subaru Forester for trips. I like your potential name. I'm leaning toward bluemax for mine.

Different dealers have different allocations. I ordered on a Friday and mine started production the next week. I guess mine is a high volume dealer (i think they had 20+ cars on the lot and more coming in). I've heard of dealers with none. I think there were 3 clubmans on the lot. It all depends.

Thanks. My m.a. said placing my order mid May would put me into the July production slots so I supect they must be lower volume or have fewer allocations. I'll have to fight the urge to check the owners lounge throughout the day.

Congrats on the order - allocations very depending on the dealer. I ordered in April and will not receive until August. Worst part is I keep adding to my build sheet with new options!

Lasermini, you'll soon be introduced to the MiniOwners Lounge.

The tune that plays will cause a Pavlovian response for the rest of your life.
I think we need counseling.

If your dealer's paperwork provided a "Production Number", you can create your profile and begin the torturous wait. MiniUsa.com , Owners Lounge
Thousands of us will know the 6 phases of building forever.

Buy new towels for washing and touchup. The hidden storage is great for these items. Micro rags are needed to clean brake dust.

I have to mute the music from the owners lounge. I couldn't take it anymore. I'm ASK-MINI is glad that my car is on a ship so that I quit calling. At least I only memorized my production number and not my vin.
