So.... no "Zug" antenna topper?

Crud. Of any promotional stuff, that would be the one thing I wanted the most.

Personally, I am one of those people who finds it to be a happy circumstance to receive silly little promotional pads of paper, pens, etc. But then, I'm easily amused... My Dad used to tell me; "Simple things amuse simple minds ...while greater fools look on..."

I tend to view it as all souvenirs of the "journey". Some day our nieces and nephews will be cleaning out our belongings after my husband and I make our final pit stop, and I have no doubt they will be completely flummoxed by all the goofy stuff we have amassed.

My MA had bags of those...he put it on my antenna last time I was at the dealer, didn't even request it.

My MA gave me the complete set of Zig Zag Zug for the long wait I had, plus some fortune cookies and one of the Introduction Clubman posters. They gave me Runs on Irregular license plate surround for my 2+ year wait. I keep it all in an organizer. I hated to use any of the Welcome kit stuff so I packed it neatly back into its box to keep. Of course I did that with all my Beatles stuff back in the 60's. Now all that memorabilia is still safe and sound in a foot locker along with all the British and U.S. albums waiting to be sold.
I'm going to put the proceeds toward a 2009 Cabrio. I'd rather have that to make new memories

I took a Zig and two Zugs (one as a spare), but I skipped the Zag because we don't have a cabrio.

I did not get anything. Does it sound cheap if I go back and ask?

No, not at all. Get some fortune cookies if they still have some... although they might be stale by now.

My Mini Adventure Field Kit showed up via USPS yesterday.

88 days from order date.
Build Week 14.

I'm not sure about putting on the barn door ZUG sticker.
The barn doors are already beautiful.
Zug means TRAIN in german.

Received my pkg last week

I got my care package last week. I picked up my Clubman May 9th. I just have a yellow smilie antenna topper (no Zug), but the package did contain a Zug sticker for the barn doors. I liked the journal and am using the mouse pad at work.

Also got the yellow smilie - got a ZUG from my MA. I'm cautious about the ZUG sticker - like the idea of magnetizing it. Also a clubman -specific booklet on quirks, but fave item, as with my previous Cabrio, is the pen & mousepad.

the Zug sticker is staying in the box.

I can't remember if I received anything this time - which may be saying something in itself.

Got mine a few weeks ago with all the usual stuff, including the current yellow "smilie" ball (The particular type you get seems to run in batches.) The mouse pad lines my glove box underneath the motoring journal, the pen sits in the center arm rest, and I magnetized the "ZUG" sticker though I didn't leave it on the boot. Haven't actually tried out the window poetry but maybe one of these days. Figured I was the only one who used the black elastic "Let's Motor" band for something. I stretched mine over the driver's side sun visor to hold toll tickets, parking stubs, and the like. Waste not, want not!

Does any one know if there are any current uses for the decoder and decryptor and red glasses that were in the Top Secret envelope in the welcome box of stuff? I googled but only found a marketing campaign from 2006.
