Clubman winter wheels

I have an 08 clubman, I traded an 05 mini cooper for it. When I had the 05 I bought a set of winter tires with steel rims. My question is will these fit the 08 clubman? Does the clubman use the same lug bolts. Also my 08 came with the run flats so no stock jack. Where can I buy a stock jack if these wheels will work? I dont want to use a hydralic jack for fear of breaking through. Thanks.

No jack?

You don't get a spare if you have run-flats but there should be a jack in the foam tool tray that lives in the well where the spare would have been.

But I'm sure your dealer will sort you out if it's missing.

What size wheels did you have on your '05? Not that I will be able to answer your question - but my 15" winter wheels, from my '04, will be handed down to my new MCC.

hard to know without the size/specs of your winter wheels.

the new Mini's use a 14mm wheel bolt, your 05' had a 12mm.
way around this is going to a stud conversion kit. (14 to 12mm)
also, depending on size of the old wheels you may have issues clearing the brakes.

why not just bolt one up and see what happens.

Hmm, true that my '06 was considered a 1st Generation. Now I'll have to dig out my winter wheels info., but thanks for alerting me to the possibility that they will not work. I hope they will!

runninbeer - I didn't understand your comment about a hydraulic jack. Why not use one? You don't have a spare, but you do have four jacking points, and a hydraulic jack should work just fine.

I have an extra set of 16" wheels that came off my '06 MINI when I went down to 15". I also have some 12mm bolts from that and some 14mm from my Clubman because I installed wheel locks on both. They appear to be exactly the same length, the mm difference clearly being in the diameter. The flared countersink at the top of the 14mm appears to be a little shallower than the same thing on the 12mm.

I just went out to the garage and the 14mm bolts appear to fit just fine, with no play, etc., in the holes of the wheels off the '06. Unless there is some super technical reason why they won't work because the flare is slightly shallower, and assuming the winter wheels clear the brakes, it seems to me you could use the same bolts that are holding the Clubman wheels on now, and there would be no need for some kind of "conversion" bolts.

the wheel I got for my clubman fit on my 06 GP. So you shouldnt have a problem.

My Clubman S came with a factory jack. It was in the foam in the lower compartmant. My came with 16" run flats.

Thanks for all the replies. I will try to bolt them on this winter. For now I am content. I will also look for the stock jack. Didnt think it came with one. The hydralic jack I have will not fit under the car. My winter rims are 15".
