Sorry if this is already going somewhere else... If so I can't find it

I was curious how long people had to wait once they got word that their car was "On Order" until the time they actually hit "Production"? Is it a few weeks, months??

My new Clubman S was just ordered this week (confirmation email on 4/28) and according to my dealership it should be here late July-early August.

Thanks for the input! (New to the whole tracking process even though this is my second MINI - I wasn't so in to it with the first one but with this one I can hardly wait!!!)

Do you have your production number yet?

Production numbers seem to be allocated to the dealer about 30-40 days ahead of production. That will confirm the build week. Then you have the additional shipping time to the west coast.

We are a week 23 build (1st week of June) with a east coast estimated delivery in early July.

I do have the production number, I got that early last week from my build sheet that I verified before the order. I had to wait about 3 weeks once I placed the order with the dealership to get the production number due to allocation amounts.

How do you confirm the build week? Did you get that info once you got your production number? Would the 866-AskMINI number help if I talked to someone?

Your dealer or Ask MINI should be able to tell you what week they'll start building your car. It looks like you're probably scheduled for the end of June.

 

That little nugget of information came with our production number via our MA. I suspect that 866-AskMINI would have that information. I just checked with the MINI Owners Lounge and it is silent about the build week.

Thank you!!! I just called 866-ASKMINI (should have done that earlier! I thought it would be a long time on hold and all that stuff but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and helpful they are!)

Turns out I am scheduled for Week 23, completed 2nd week of June. She said it could be delayed depending on options selected -- Mine is fully loaded with some customization so we'll see if it gets delayed. She said it could also go a lot faster once it starts the build -- all just depends!

So with travel time to the dealer it should be here the last week of July! (If all goes well, my fingers are crossed!!)

seattleclubmanS - congrats on the production number. Still waiting on mine, I ordered it around the same time, but you must have been ahead of me, also, very similar specs.

 

Placed my order on 4/19, and received a production # on 4/23, but still no word on when production will start. I called ASK-MINI and spoke with a very polite and helpful "live" human being who told me to call back early next week when they should have that information. Ah, the waiting game...

 

It really depends on the allocations for the dealer. I orderd mine on 02/16/08, had my production number a week later. I'm scheduled for week 19 for build, but it still shows up as "on order" in the owners lounge.

 

Wait, wait and wait.... It's so hard!!! I find that the more time I spend on here and looking at pics the more anxious I get! But knowing that my Clubman is actully on order now has got me super excited all over again!
