R55 Cargo space question?
Cargo space question?
Hey guys, first post here.
I am a cameraman and I carry a lot of gear. I currently drive a older pathfinder.
I was just curious how many feet of distance there is from the back of the front seats to the tail gate area?
Bascially I have cart that would have to roll straight in, and I want to know how much depth there is to do it. None of the dealer have been able to tell.
I might go to one today to look for myself, but there is one that is very close. So, I figured I might try you folks first.
Thanks in advance.

55 inches (if you are tall and like the driver's seat well back) x 31 wide to the narrowest point x 17 below the parcel shelf with the flat load floor in place. And the load height is 26 inches.
I want a lot of things
I almost leased a VW R32 last night.
Ideally I want a Team Trails FJ Cruiser and Dodge Challenger to satisfy both my loves.
But I am a Caroholic and I love many cars. The mini clubman is on my list. assuming it can hold my gear.

The cargo space behind the rear seats (With the backs up) is 9.2 Cubic Feet. Remember that you have a "false" load floor in the trunk and that affords added space.
With both seatbacks reclined (Creating a full flat load floor) the space increases to 32.8 Cubic feet.
Hope this helps.

nah its not the cubic feet i needed. it was the footage of distance.
But its all good thank you.
I stopped by South Bay mini, and my cart does not fit. Its about 4" too long. Oh well. It did, however, just fit in the back of a VW R32...
decisions, decisions.

wow, that surprises me. I would have never assumed that the R32 would have more distance for storage in the rear than the Clubman. It just doesn't seem that way when you look at them. Good luck with those decisions.... I'm sure that we can find a fabricator to take 4" off that cart of yours.
Yeah....The cart could actually be bigger, actually.
I do have a smaller version of the cart, but its not good for bigger commercials and features.
And yes, I was shocked it fit in the R32 as well. Had it been a 1/4" longer it wouldn't have.
Not even sure I'm getting the R32. The wife is brow beating me into keeping my pathfinder until we can pay off our wedding...sigh. Dream killers, i tells ya.

Only 4"? Just use a bungee cord to keep the doors shut when you have your cart in the back.
thought about it, but they lease like ****. I dont think I want to own anymore. I get a better write off leasing, and I get tired of cars after a few years.
