QUESTION FOR BEASTMASTER
ok, beastmaster......
I've been looking/admiring your car for couple of days now....and I've decided that I really, really like your mirror caps!....
what color are they and where did you get them from????
I think that is a great color on the mirrors, really adds some zing to the car!...I believe I want a set, will consider adding to my christmas list!

I actually like Beastmaster's contrasting side panels(not sure exactly what that spot is called). The black really stands out from the white. Was that repainted specially too or did you salvage an Astro Black panel and installed it?

MaacoDale may correct me, but I believe it's still called a front quarter panel. Some cars have an isolated qtrpanel with separate fender, some with combined fender, and MINI skips the 'fender panel' entirely, served by qtr and 'bonnet'.
According to http://www.minimotoringgraphics.com/ the panel is called an "A-Panel".
They sell wraps for the panel for $99 for a set of two.
Oh, and I love Beastie....stole a nice pic of it for my background.

Can anyone help with inserting pics? For some reason I can only upload attachments and not get the full-size pics many of you seem to have on this page. Are you hosting those pics on another website?

yes mine are either hosted on Flickr or photobucket and I use the img tags
Holy wowzers, that looks schweeet. I had gotten a quote for painthing the A pillars or whatever you call them-$300 for both sides. Does the vinyl wrap in between the grooves? There's no distinction between the A pillar and front quarter. In fact, the A pillar continues all the way onto the insides of your door panel and continues along your bonnet in the front. How far does it wrap? And did you do it yourself or got it professionally done?

I had it done professionally at MINIPIRATE.COM in the UK. He did a great job. The wrap just turns underneath a small amount along the bonnet edge and door edge, it would be kind of obvious to the fitter where to do this. The indicator scuttles were removed prior to it being fitted. He used a vinyl that he could manipulate a bit with a heat gun which ensured a perfect fit over the curves around the indicator fitment. At the top of the panel the trim is just removed and refitted after the vinyl has been fitted.
It is a great color combo.
The tires are a little too LOW profile for me. I think I would have put 225-40-18 tires for that little extra rubber on the road.
He actually said he would do different next go around on tires.

Tell him to lower it some and get rid of that wheel gap while he's at it.
This is true, Mini Fireman...give msport a break...maybe he/she got side-tracked and posted the wrong picture
