And, um, Alphawave, old buddy, I have to say that I cast my lot with your wife and Parkerton regarding those scuttles... I think you should concentrate on coco mats and forget about changing out the scuttles unless, as Parkerton suggest, you can find some nice aftermarket silver scuttles...and when you find some nice ones, let me know.
Hey Otra,
Would you consider these to be "nice" silver scuttles?

I don't know that I'd rush out and buy them, but I'm sure someone else will love them.

To tell you the truth, I really don't rush out and buy much...but I like to see what's out there.

They look like wagon wheels... and look like it'd be a rough ride too.

Not as rough as having to be seen with wheel gap

the drop definitely changes the stance of the clubman. with the eibach multi-pro-r2 coilovers, it not only looks tough, the handling is ridiculous.

i prefer five spoke design over the multi-spoke.....

yah, a drop is very necessary for the clubman. It looks a million times better dialed in. The stock ride height and wheel gap are terrible from the factory.

I love what you guys have done with it. The exhaust is a perfect fitment, and it's good to see a company showing the clubman some love.

And, yah, the five spokes look much better than the other side

Referring to the question above as to whether or not those "chrome" scuttles were "nice" or not:

So much for diplomacy, eh? Agreed, not my taste - nor sbaker's, I don't think.

The big thing with all of this you-if-i-cation stuff, is that there's no accounting for another person's taste. Personally, I don't like those wheels in MEGAmini's first photo - to me they do look like wagon wheels and I think they make the tires look almost flat...but hey, it's not my car.

That said, I've seen quite a few beauties on this thread.

Meh, everyone has personal opinions. I just don't get the concept of those skuttles. Nowhere else on the car has the polka-dot hole pattern that those skuttles have. It's gonna seem disjointed without anything else to tie into.

Even worse is the fact that they clearly stick on OVER the oem skuttles so you can see that the light no longer sits flush with it. It's now recessed with a much bulkier look. And stick-on parts are just a lame solution....why not replace the part?

They're definitely not my taste. Thank you for understanding my sarcasm in the previous post.

Of course, not everyone likes the checkered side scuttles on Casper. The purists point out that the white checks are not Pepper White.

They're not my taste either...design-wise nor quality-wise. They simply look too plastic, too cheap, ergo too ugly. That's not the chrome look I was hoping for..I'm thinking of the S's chrome and white lens, minus the red S.

edit: Does this mean I should've just sprung for the S, afterall!?!

On the topic of scuttles, I don't want to keep tooting my own horn, but I love the ones I got from aecarbon.com.

It can be done in other colors, I think silver and blue as well, but the red Kevlar+ Chili Red is great.

Note this is a test fit with no adhesive, so they aren't on solid.

So far, I'm leaning towards the chrome JCW:

It's the least obnoxious one I've seen, but looks WAY better than the cheesy black plastic I have now.

jbcola- can you grab a close-up of yours and post it in your gallery? I'd like to imagine what Sparkling Silver would look like with this scuttle.
