Clubman Rear Seat Delete...

So the question on the table is: Who will be the first to get rid of the rear seat? If I were to get a clubman this is the first thing I would do. Nothing like a 2 seater 2 door "wagon."

Am I alone here?

Our purpose in getting the Clubman is to have a more usable rear seat for occasional passengers so, no, we won't be deleting the rear seat. I can see why you might want to do that if you are using the car to haul items around constantly instead of people.

We are looking into the option of deleting the rear seat to make room for 1) our GSD (after all it's her car) 2) try to get the same cargo space as the GP.

As I said before whenI saw the Clubman I was a bit disappointed about the boot but we'll use our creativity ..

I guess it depends if you plan to carry extra passengers or not. Sans rear seats, a Clubman would make a great little delivery van.

Or a nice replacement for my paint truck that gets 12 MPG ! How do you think 25 foot extention ladders would look on top ?

TTT. Has anyone done any more thinking about the Clubman seat delete? I saw the delete kit sold by MINI Biotch at AMVIV, and really liked it, but it is not available for the Clubbie. Our purpose for the car is to be a panel van.

Now I don't have a Cooper around to compare measurements. We had a home made delete in my 05, and it was great. Not all that pretty, but very functional.

It appears that the seat depth front to back is about the same, just the curve of the sidewall trim is different.

Anyone had their Clubman rear seats out, or any word on vendors considering a kit?

I don't follow why you would need to delete the rear seat. It's very nearly flat when folded down. What would deleting it accomplish?

That would be cool to see some Clubman used as delivery vehicles.

Gain would be greater depth, more cargo room, me thinks.

My 04 MCS is currently in the shop getting a repaint and other mods...

AS SOON as it comes out,,, my PW Clubman goes in...

all the rear glass comes out.. the rear seats come out..

the glass space is replaced by solid panels.. the area above the missing rear seat will be re decked...

panel truck!!!!

I will post pictures as soon as it happens.. but I dont expect it to be finished until mid May at the earliest..

I was wondering who would be the first.

You are going to catch it tho, you didn't take a survey for approval!

Love to watch other people's redesign projects! Will be looking forward to a complete play by play with photos!

astra, are you going to paint, or have you already painted, your Clubman white with a British Racing Green roof?
