Actually looks much better than the initial spy shots. I was disappointed with what I was seeing early on.

That extra door sure makes a big difference in access.

Oh my I totally know what you mean! Even those recent press (?) pictures of the blue and silver Clubman. I wasn't so interested in it at that point. But now, I am in love with it. Can't wait til I have kids (will be in the NOT NEAR FUTURE) and need the extra space!!

Thanks for sharing those pics! I was loving it until they kept the back that flat black color... is that plastic? Looks a little like the rear end of a Honda Element...

Your welcome.

No, they are just still leaving the back taped up. I've "heard" (can't say from where) that the official pictures are coming out in a couple days now.

Yeah, it does remind me of the Element though. Even if they don't have the flat black.. I'm loving the interior though!!

I think that's the Sidewalk package leather interior from the Cabrio. I really wanted that, it's beautiful in person. I think it's the nicest interior Mini offers. Notice that ridge on either side of the roof. What's that for, to keep the water out of the windows?

I was hoping it would be a little more roomy inside. Are the front seats pushed all the way back? If so, !

I think it's a little more roomy that the R56, but it's no Toyota Corolla (thank God, that thing is as big as a Camry now). It's got a kidsized rear seat and more room for groceries, but for true soccer moms the minivan is still king.

These diagrams are posted on MINI2. No mention of whether they came from official sources: http://www.mini2.com/forum/mini-club...-revealed.html

The R56 for comparison:

I'm still not sure how they're calling this a clubman. If they're going to do a clubman, or a clubman estate in this case, it should have a square front. If you really want the name you have to carry the shame of ugly with you everywhere.

Just because I own a '66 Mini doesn't mean I hate the MINI. In fact it's quite the opposite - I owned an '02 MINI Cooper S and I'm thinking about getting another. ... I just can't figure out how they're doing a clubby without it being ugly. (Ugly isn't always bad!)

Haha so true!! I've been thinking that since they first started showing pictures at the beginning.
