Seat belts flap noisily when topless...

Any tips on securing the unused shoulder belts when driving topless? At certain speeds the unoccuppied belts flap violently against the interior. I don't really want to leave them buckled all the time. Any ideas?

Buckled all the time is all I've come up with. I'll be interested to see what pops up here.

For the back seat belts, pull the metal tab for buckle up the belt and under the loop that is at the top of the seat, then pull out all the slack in the belt.

I've found my front passenger side belt is often the culprit for me... though the rears do it too sometimes.

For the front seat belt...

Move the black "stopper thingy" (yea that's a technical term) right up against the buckle and make sure the buckle is pushed into the crease where the belt exits the side of the car. That should stop any noise from that section.

For the rear seat belts...

Tuck 'em in..

If all else fails, resort to my uncle's remedy for all things you don't want to hear...

Turn up the stereo...

I just place mine slightly over the lumbar support (nearest door). It seems to stay in that position.

The installed wind blocker seems to take care of the back seats for me.

Ditto on the windblocker. But the front passenger belt is the worst by far, I just leave it buckled up. before I had the windblocker i used the above trick of running the metal buckle of the rear belts up to the loop the belt runs through. It really helped.

I'm glad to see some suggestions and a blog for this little irritant. My doesn't do it all the time but when it does it's aggravating/irritating and by the time I stop, I forget, and do nothing about it until the next time it starts, whenever that is! I will try some of these suggestions.

That happens occasionally when I have my windows down all the way on the freeway. You may want to try pulling the belt over the passenger right hand seat bolster.

I don't have a cabrio, but I do this a lot when I've got the windows down and the sunroof open to keep it from rattling.
