Top adjustment recall

Yesterday my top would not go up. It would raise a bit from full open, then stop and settle back down. I checked all switches and so forth. Nothing wrong.
Finally coaxed it up to kind of closed with sunroof open but the arms would not latch.
I called Desert MINI in Las Vegas <I'm travelling - maybe see you at AMVIV?> where a helpful SM told me there's a recall on my car for top adjustment.
After the call to Desert MINI I went back out to the car and tried the top. It finished closing with no trouble. The motor must have cooled.
My concern here is that I've never been advised of a recall. Not by MINIUSA or Schomp MINI in Denver, my dealer. My car is an early '05...delivered November '04.
If yours is early, you might want to check into this before you find yourself on the side of the road with a top that won't close.

Top Adjustment Recall

Thanks Khodabear for the heads up on the recall. I will be taking "Maxine" in for her 10,000 mile check up in a few weeks so I will definitely ask them about it. She was a Nov 04 build with a Dec 04 delivery. I have never had problems with the top, but I do have a problem with my front side windows not going all the way down when I put the top down.

I've not heard of the recall either - but that is not surprising.....I have a very early build 05' - delivered in Sept. 04'. Knock on wood - I've not had any issues with the top or windows, etc.

I think I'll call the local dealer and see what they can tell me.....if anything (Brecht MINI stinks)..

It's not a recall.. it's a service bulletin . I had it done last week during my 1st oil change. On my service invoice it's listed as SIM #54 06 05

If your Cabrio is part of the effected group, it should show up on their screen when you bring your MINI in
